[JAWS-Users] turning off protected view
Hi, I am sending these instructions that I received from someone on this list when I asked the same question. Judy There is a way to turn off protected view for Word documents. 1. From within Microsoft Word, Press Alt F followed by the letter T for Options and press Enter. 2. Press T to highlight Trust Center. 3. Press Tab until you get to Trust Center Settings and press Enter. 4. Use up and down arrow keys to highlight Protected View. 5. You can tab to four checkboxes, and you can uncheck the ones that you feel are safe to uncheck. Perhaps the last one regarding data execution should remain checked. Re: [JAWS-Users] Turning off protected view in Word 2007
I was thinking that a configuration change needed to be made for best results with JAWS- now I'm not at all sure what I'm thinking of ;) It sounds like the default reading view would be JFW friendly- is that true? After writing, thought perhaps I was confusing recommended changes for Adobe Reader- but Adobe XI does not even seem to have that option any longer. I have a new Win7 computer and am trying to remember all the settings that needed to be changed- and which I did over a series of several years. Not a job for the faint-hearted :) Thanks very much for replying.
