[JAWS-Users] using a brailleNote MPower with jaws 12

2011-09-09 Thread Andrew Head
Hi all, just wondering am I able to set up my brailleNote MPower with jaws
to use it as a braille display? I looked in the braille settings but it
wasn't there. Do I need to download drivers? If so where do I get them from?

Andrew

Yeah, it figures. FS introduced a driver sign-in initiative which meant
that in future - for Windows Vista and upwards - braille display and/or
note-taker developers would have to pay a subscription in order to have
JAWS support their drivers. Humanware have now apparently signed up (or
has reached agreement with FS about this), although I don't know whether
the braillenote mPower is now included. May be better to check out
Humanware, www.humanware.com - see if they can offer driver support for
the braillenote with JAWS and windows, or enlightenment on what else to
do if perchance they don't.
