Re: [JAWS-Users] xp and jaws, strange message
hi tim, I guess I am getting more confused by the hour here. So far the only place that would show my graphics card, that I have found would be in 'hardware' and then 'device manager'. In there it just says the card and driver are working fine. do you know what exactly needs to be changed in there to let the jaws driver take over or whatever else is neccasary to stop this message from popping up? Also, jaws itself still seems to work ok except for this nagging message window all the time. is there a way I can just keep it from popping up? maybe disable error messages in jaws somewhere or similar? thanks for your time and trying to help, greatly appreciated. regards chrissy - Original Message - From: tim z200...@gmail.com To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Saturday, January 17, 2009 9:17 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] xp and jaws, strange message look in display, settings tab menu, advance button. look in your graphic card properties. See if it has two out puts and witch one it is set to use. At 02:41 AM 1/17/2009, you wrote: hi list, hopefully someone can help me with this issue. I have a clean install of windows xp on my desktop and instaled jaws yesterday. Re: [JAWS-Users] xp and jaws, strange message
hi tim, i guess i have to look in properties within the device manager and then the grphics card? there it says pci bus and that there are no conflicts and it (the nvdia card) is working properly. I have jaws new install on my netbook as well and there I do not get any messages like I do on the desktop. Re: [JAWS-Users] xp and jaws, strange message
I also just checked in programs jaws inside the display chaining manager. there it says that the jaws video intercept is installed and under 'primary' someone suggested also that i remove the wdm driver that came with my gaphics card as it is only used when running something that requires video-in. I tried that and rebooted windows. still the same message though once jaws starts running. regards chrissy .
