Re: [JAWS-Users] dropbox question

2016-12-30 Thread Shai
Hello Kimsan,
The public folder has been removed for Dropbox accounts created after
October 4 2012 and will be phased out for current accounts created
before that date in 2017.
I am linking you to the help article that discusses the change :
https://www.dropbox.com/help/16
they advise sharing a link to a folder instead.
Hope this helps

I received a notice from Dropbox that they would no longer have the public
folder.

Hi,

I created a new dropbox account; however, there is no public folder. Where
is the public folder and does it still exist?

Thanks.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Dropbox Question

2015-06-09 Thread Sharon Gosling
I think the problem is not with Dropbox but with your Autoplay settings for
the various content.
Type Autoplay into the search box in the start menu or get there however it
works on Windows 8.
For each type of content you can set what you want autoplay to do. Import
to Dropbox is just one of the choices and probably is what is chosen in your
autoplay settings. For all video and audio formats I mostly have mine set to
ask me every time. This causes the autoplay menu to appear whenever I
insert any media into the computer.
For various DVD and CD formats you might wish to choose to have it begin
playing in various programs that you can choose.
The autoplay settings are easy to navigate. Tab to the media types and use
the arrows to choose your preference. Then choose Save.

That makes two of us. As the flash drive I'm putting has my music and
Nls books, I wonder where these images are coming from?
What version of Dropbox do you have, free or pro, I have pro.

Hello, everyone.

I hope this is not considered to be too off topic, but I have an
interesting problem with dropbox.

I am not sure if this is a result of some sort of update, but whenever I
put
my main USB thumb drive into my computer, dropbox now starts automatically
downloading photos from that thumb drive into drop box. While this
process
doesn't usually create issues for me, it really is not needed for my use
of

Dropbox, and I'd like to stop the process from occurring.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you!

Thanks, Sherri.

This is all new to me, so I'll need to experiment around a bit to get things
as I want them to be.

Your help is much appreciated.

The tutorial should be in one of your dropbox folders. Or it's probably just
a file. There is one on the website, and if you complete at least five
steps, you get extra bonus points.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] dropbox question?

Hi, I am using Jaws 13, and windows seven laptop and want to teach some one
how to use drop box, and I am looking for a tutorial for it? Is there one on
the website?

I have it, but don't know how to share a box, or set one up to share with
some one, nore how to eccept an invite. I had a friend set mine up as I did
not know how to do it on my old computer, so I remembered my email, and pass
word, and drop box was already set up on the laptop, so I never learned how
to use it from the start! Thanks for any help sue
