Hi,
The only other program, which is not running at this time, which would be
Skype.

I will work on your thought and see what happens.
Thanks,
Morey

That's a pity abut the soundcard, there not being a stereo mixer (or
equivalent).

I'm beginning to think that it might be best to have individual voices per
app, different synths even, since the present owners Nuance are no longer
developing Eloquence. To that purpose, Vocalizer Expressive voices in JAWS16
are more responsive than they were before.

actively worked on by its present owners Nuance.

Skype was turned off completely.
And, yes, using the internal sound card on Dell Desktop Computer, and not a
very good one at that, cause it does not have a stereo mix.
Will do as you recommended with changing the Jaws voice settings. Will
notify if any thing as far as the slurring goes.
Thanks,
Morey

If it's in your System Tray, then it is running in the background. You could
also change Eloquence voices, perhaps, to see if the effect is with another
voice as well. Presumably, since you didn't say, you are using the
computer's native sound card?

Hi,

Do yu have some other applcation that uses sounds, running? (This could be
something like TheQube, which uses sounds to indicate receiving of tweets,
for example.) OOr Skype, or a messnger program. If you have some such
program running, close it temporarily to hear if the problem with Eloquence
speech is corrected.
