I wound up calling the Microsoft Disability line and they were able to fix it. The computer was in tablet mode and needed to be in desktop mode and they changed the screen layout from portrait to landscape. I believe that all this is in Settings and display. In reading about the desktop, it looks like you have to click on something in the task bar to show the desktop and I'll need sighted help to do that. I'll definitely let you guys know when it's resolved. This latest Windows 10 update has definitely not been my friend on two computers, that's for sure. Regarding your sideways desktop or view, as you heard from someone else, there's a shortcut key which is control+the arrow keys to rotate your screen, but you can also do this by going to your desktop and de-selecting anything that is currently highlighted by pressing control+spacebar. Once you've done this, you can press your applications key or shift+F10, and arrow down to "Display settings" and press enter. In the resulting dialog box, tab to the combo box that says "Orientation" and press alt+down arrow to open the choices, then arrow up to Landscape or Portrait, depending on your preference. Tab to the apply button and press enter. Once you're done, just alt+F4 out of that window. Previous editions of Windows used to have the rotation option right in the first context menu, so you could make the changes that way, but alas, Windows has done away with this option.
