Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem highlighting and copying web addresses
Keep in mind ctrl l for this purpose is used in Ie. If you are using FireFox this key combination is used to type a new web address like ctrl o in IE. What I would like to find in IE an alternative key to ctrl f6 to get back to the page. Why are there at least three combination keys to highlight the web address E.G. ctrl l, alt d, and f6 but only that one key to go back to the page. In fact why not just make the escape key to do this function. Are you listening Microsoft! (smile) On 5/18/2015 6:36 AM, Tom Behler wrote: Mike: I didn't think of control L. I use to always check if I got the addres highlighted correctly. However, you can be confident it's there once you hear it read outloud. So, I just copy it to the (ctrl c) clipboard. Saves time. Easy. Use F6 or alt-D to display the address. Then, use your normal clipboard commands: control-A to highlight the entire address control-C to copy to the clipboard control-V to paste it into the document where you want to show the address.
