Re: [JAWS-Users] W10 news app
Ok, my last day of work is Thursday and then I'm off for the summer. I'm going to have to download the file where it talks how to use the touch curser, as I'm obviously not doing something right lol. For example, I hear music, and other categories which I assume these are categories of what you'd like to search, so I focus on it, then press enter and it will say for example music has focus. Then what? Haha. Hi, Freedom Scientific did a few webinars a year or so ago when Windows 8.1 came out. Dan Kelly does a great job taking you through some of the apps and tells you how to use the touch cursor in these apps. The news app is one he goes over for sure. Just get on their web site: www.freedomscientific.com and go to the training page and download those free webinars. They are really good, and they go over everything you are asking about. The apps in Windows 8.1 were very much the same as in win10, so get the webinars on Windows 8.1 and using tablets, and Dan goes all through how to use these apps. Hi Holger and others, Touch cursor will work regardless of whether you have a physical touchscreen or not, and use of touch cursor is a MUST (yes, a must) if you want to navigate certain parts of universal apps (parts where there is no keyboard access).
