 Hi Jaws-users,

I need some help finding a bible software that is Catholic.
 What are my options?
I had so many troubles with digital catholic bible.
It gave me a fake antivirus as pro pc cleaner.
I had trouble with combo boxes disappearing.
 No combo boxes would open.
The protestant bible you have in the list of programs is not approved for
 Catholics.

 Please help.

Joseph, pardon my ignorance, but is the Ignatius the only accepted version
of the Bible for Catholics? When I grew up Catholic, we used the
Confraternity Duoay but also used the NIV. In fact, I've never even heard
of the Ignatius Bible. Thanks for clarifying. I myself am seeking a
Catholic-friendly, JAWs-friendly Bible.

2014-12-15 Thread wayne smith
The official translation from the USCCB is the New American Bible, Catholic
version recently translated but many scholars prefer the RSV, Catholic
version. If you want to stick to the official then the New American is the
one. I previously sent the info.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Free Bible Software, Optasia Ministry

2014-12-15 Thread Tom Vos
Friends,
Let me tell you what Optasia Ministry offers
We have over 30 English Bible translations in various formats.
Those that are in the Optasia format run in your web browser with links to
books chapters and verses.
We do have three Catholic Bibles: Jerusalem Bible, New American Bible and
Christian Community Bible.
I think I can get the Ignatius Bible, but contact me, since it is not yet
part of the Optasia Library.
Some Catholics also use the RSV or NRSV.
In addition we have a large library of books, commentaries, devotional
reading, and a variety of other books
A few of these resources are specifically Catholic.
We have the Catholic Catechism available as well.
We will provide this library free to qualifying blind persons.
You can chedk us out at www.optasiaministry.org
and see the contact page of our web site for ordering the library.
and email me at tom@optasiaministry.org.
We are continually adding new books as well, so the library keeps growing.
Blessings,
Tom Vos, director
