It sounds like either your columns are needing a reset or maybe it would
help to make sure the program is maximized. Usually when things like
this
come up I first make sure it's maximized. I can't tell you how to do
this
with windows live 2012 because ribbons are involved and I'm not sure
how to
navigate them. But another problem could be found in the "sort by
columns"
part. I've had to fix items like to, from, subject, etc. in that sort by
columns area so that could be the reason the subject line isn't showing.

I have both Jaws 16 and 17 on my computers. I don't use my laptop a lot
since I really am not familiar with some things about 10 and don't know how
to make windows 10 look more like 7. But when I am away from home and have
to use it, I use windows live mail 2009, which has no confusing ribbons
which I'm trying to avoid, and it works perfectly fine on the windows 10
laptop. But like I said, maybe some computers just don't work well with
live mail 2009. I'm glad mine does because I'm lost regarding windows 10 so
I'm glad one of my familiar programs still works for me.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws and email question

Hello listers,

Just tried the following with the latest jaws 17. I hope that this issue
gets resolved in the next jaws release. For now I had to go back to
windows
7. I am running windows 10 64 bit and jaws 17. for my email, I
am

using wLM 2009. The problem I am having is the ffollowing. With jaws 13,
on my windows 7 machine I am able to press the shift down arrow keys to
select a group of messages. I hear jaws say Michael[blindtech] jaws and
email question. If I try the same with jaws 17,on windows 10, all I hear
is
Michael[blindtech]. I don't hear the subject line read. Can some one
help

me please?

Thanks

Hi Michael,
You need to update your WLM to 2012 latest version as this is the only
version that works with W10 correctly.

2015-08-10 Thread Michael Boyd

Hi Michael,

I am running WLM
2012 and JAWS 16, and I get the same thing when selecting multiple messages.
The name of the sender is called out, but not the subject. I think that this
is the normal behavior in the later versions of WLM.

No, I am afraid it does not. It only says the senders name, then announces
that it has been selected, as in:

Michael Amaro, Selected, Michael Boyd, Selected, etc.

But it gets the job done.

I am sorry to not have an answer to your question, but when I perform
this same function, using JAWS 16 and WLM 2012, I hear the senders
name announced as well as the word Selected, letting me know that
each subsequent message hhas been selected. When I perform some sort
of action with these selected messages such as delete them or move
them, they all do as expected.
