WebIE can be used with any screen reader, I have a version of WebIE installed that came from http://www.webbie.org, not the (excuse my language here) crappy version that comes with thunder. -- From: Rosemarie Chavarria [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, January 14, 2008 2:46 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] phone book site Hi, Karleen. Re: [JAWS-Users] phone book site
You might want to try http://www.whitepages.com, or if a business is what you're looking for, try http://www.yellowpages.com. It's also been known, if you GOOGLE someone's Name or their Phone number, you can find them that way. Just type the person's name or Phone number into the search box at http://www.google.com. Hope this Helps. Casey - Original Message - From: Rosemarie Chavarria To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Sunday, January 13, 2008 8:46 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] phone book site Hi, Karleen. Carlene, sometimes Google is the quickest way to get a phone number. Use quotation marks around the name of the person, first name last name outside the quotation marks write location and see what you get. It works for me. marilyn Visit the JAWS Users List home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com Address for the list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To post to this group, send email to jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help from Mailman with your account Put the word help in the subject or body of a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use the following form in order to contact the management team http://www.jaws-users.com/managers.php If you wish to join the Blind Computing list send a blank email to the following address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
