Have you ever created an email list so you can email multiple contacts
at once if so how do you compose a message once that is done?  Do you
type in the name of the list or what?

Yes, this happens to me also but I just close the program and even 
reboot the PC on occasion to fix the issue. However, having said that, 
you should check to be certain the email names and addresses are correct 
in the mailing list.

address book or do you have to manually enter their emails?  If
there's a way to enter them by selecting them your address book, how
do you it using JAWS?  I have jaws 16 windows 7 and Thunderbird 31.40.

Are there scripts for JAWS 16 to make Thunderbird work better or
should I try and download outlook express and choose to use a light
or
basic interface?

Unfortunately no the f 8 key doesn't speak closing the message preview pane.
When the message preview pane is closed, the folders are in a row as are 
the messages.  You can then tab between folders and messages, and use 
the arrow keys to move from folder to folder or message to message.

Press enter to open a message and escape to close it.
