Make sure you are doing it right -- Press JAWS + Spacebar, then release. Then press the letter S. Do you have the insert mode box checked in jaws users? That will help, so you don't have to stretch your fingers. the jaws feature to silence speech is great but it’s so hard to activate the togole button. Are you talking about JAWS key and spacebar and the letter S to turn it off and then the same to turn it on.
