Go into version 11 from your desktop. Sometimesw, at least keep one earlier version. Sometimes, new bugs are introduced, or in some instances, an earlier version of Jaws seems to work better with certain applications. Its possible that you need to have Typing interrupt engaged, that way, your menus and other stuff should stop speech when typing another letter or up or down arrow moving from item to item in the menu structure to change that behavior, go too your config manager and then go to user settings then tab down until you hear JAWS say Typing interrupt checkbox not check, check that box then your issue should go away. Try checking typing interrupt in the configuration manager under user options. No. Uncheck the box in JAWS 10. Unload. Load JAWS 11. Check the box in JAWS 11. Then reboot. That should fix it.
