[JBoss-dev] [ jboss-Feature Requests-866271 ] JBossNET plugin for Maven

Summary: JBossNET plugin for Maven

Initial Comment:
Please find full discussions about this feature
requests on the forum:
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopict=43879

Basically, two things to include into Maven:

1/ a wsr goal that would create the WSR archive with
the web-service.xml included. I already did that
locally, Maven guys don't want to host that ; they
claim it's too specific to JBoss.

Basically the plugin uses src/wsr/META-INF directory
(can be configured with properties) to generate the wsr
archive.

Now, I am facing the problem that I would like to
deploy the WSR archive on the repository to be able to
use it as a dependency (meaning we have to create a
WSRS directory at the same level as JARS, EARS, WARS,
etc). We also need to upgrade some plugin (such as ear
to be able to generate the application.xml accordingly)

2/ Xdoclet integration: a plugin to generate the
web-service.xml automatically (sound straigthforwad but
let's write this once somewhere)

I can provide help if necessary.

Regards,

Stephane Nicoll

[JBoss-dev] [ jboss-Feature Requests-866273 ] Maven sar plugin

Summary: Maven sar plugin

Initial Comment:
Hello,

So far I have not found a sar plugin that works with
JBoss so we decided to make our own. It's very basic:

- works with the src/sar directory (can be configured)
- include everything under that directory in the sar file
- xdoclet + compilation of classes (I am not sure it's
fully done though)
- include the src/sar/META-INF/jboss-service.xml

Is there a place where we can put this?

Regards,

Stephane

RE: [JBoss-dev] CVS problem

2003-12-27 Thread Scott M Stark
The thirdparty directory is just a collection of other alias checkouts.
You already had avalon checked into the thirdparty/apache/avalon dir
in 3.2, so checkout thirdparty/apache/avalon on head and add the
libs. I have done this and added a new alias to the _jboss_thirdparty
so add the apache-avalon to your thirdparty tree using:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] thirdparty]$ cvs co _thirdparty_apache_avalon
cvs server: Updating apache-avalon
cvs server: Updating apache-avalon/lib
U apache-avalon/lib/README
U apache-avalon/lib/avalon-framework.jar
[EMAIL PROTECTED] thirdparty]$ ls apache-avalon/lib/
CVS/ README avalon-framework.jar

jboss-head, fresh checkout:

$ cd jboss-head/thirdparty
$ mkdir apache-avalon
$ cvs -z3 add apache-avalon
cvs [add aborted]: cannot add to /cvsroot/jboss/CVSROOT/Emptydir $ cat
CVS/Repository CVSROOT/Emptydir $ echo $CVSROOT
:ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/jboss

What is this?

Cheers,

Francisco

[JBoss-dev] client-deployer-xmbean.xml problem in 3.2

2003-12-27 Thread Tom Elrod
I'm backporting the JMX 1.2 stuff (along with remoting and jmx remoting)
to the 3.2 branch and am having problems with the
client-deployer-xmbean.xml. When it tries to load it, gets the following
error (btw, just copied the file from HEAD to use in 3.2):

Caused by: org.dom4j.DocumentException: Error on line 11 of document
jar:file:/C:/Projects/JBoss/JBo
ss-3_2_rollback/jboss-3.2/build/output/jboss-3.2.4RC1/server/default/lib/jboss.jar!/client-deployer-
xmbean.xml : The entity defattr was referenced, but not declared.
Nested exception: The entity de
fattr was referenced, but not declared.

   at org.dom4j.io.SAXReader.read(SAXReader.java:218)
   at org.jboss.mx.metadata.XMLMetaData.build(XMLMetaData.java:245)

I noticed that the xml file contains defattr; and defops;, which seems
to be what is causing the problem. Anyone know what these are being
used for?

Thanks.

-Tom

RE: [JBoss-dev] org.jboss.test.cache.test.generic.PropertyConfiguratorUnitTestCase problem

2003-12-27 Thread Ben Wang
Scott,

Turned out this is a spam mail held by Navisite for 2 days. :-)

Is this a problem in jboss-head? How come when I run it, it is working
for me?

Thanks,

-Ben

problem

The PropertyConfiguratorUnitTestCase cannot work since it does not
include the tree-service.xml it is attempting to parse. Please update
the test to work by including the testcase service descriptor in the
testsuite.
