I don't think it is a problem with JBoss. Tomcat 3.x does not have this problem. When using WindowsXP to create the war file, the path to web.xml is in lowercase. ex. /web-inf/web.xml. After some debugging I have come to determine that when creating and packaged file on windowsXP, if the name is in ALL uppercase windows will report it as ALL lowercase. ex. When looking at the directory to be packaged into the war, it contained a directory named WEB-INF. This was also confirmed under a command prompt. After successfully packaging the file with 'jar -cvf output.war .' it was reported as web-inf. Now if I changed the directory name to WEB-INf and used the same process, it was reported as WEB-INf. I still have not been able to fix the problem, so any help would be greatly appreciated. The temporary fix that I am currently using is to move everything to a linux server when I wish to package them.
