[JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Portal] - Re: JBossPortal (Nukes 2.0) on JBossAS 4.0.1
Update for those interested: nukes 2.0 is up and running on JBossAS 4.0.1RC1 (provided you copy the hibernate jar file to $JBOSS_HOME/server/all/lib by hand). Strange, when was the last time you checked out? Julien added the hibernate jars to the build under /thirdparty. This import happened this weekend before the release. [JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Portal] - Re: JBossPortal (Nukes 2.0) on JBossAS 4.0.1
It was yesterday! The jar is in the nukes thirdparty directory, but the build.xml in the core module (line 68) still points to the JBossAS directory, because jboss-hibernate.jar is not defined in jboss.hibernate.classpath @tools/etc/buildfragments/libraries.ent, so the build is getting the library from the general classpath. I guess that the reference to jboss-hibernate.jar should be omited in core/build.xml (line 68), and added to tools/etc/buildfragments/libraries.ent, let's line 43. I hope this helps! Yes the ddl task worked fine both for the portal as for the forums part. And the sql sentences to populate the tables worked too. Or at least it seems to me... Eduardo, So ware you able to run Portal successfully on 4.0.1? If so can you please do a quick summary of what has to be done to run JbossPortal on 4.0.1 (final). Thanks robert View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=3862476#3862476 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=3862476 --- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek. [JBoss-dev] [Design of JBoss Portal] - Re: JBossPortal (Nukes 2.0) on JBossAS 4.0.1
Of course, Robert, I'll try to summarize. First, after downloading the last sources for nukes 2.0 from the CVS, edit file tools/etc/buildfragments/libraries.ent go to line 43 and add the following: Then, you can edit line 68 in file core/build.xml and remove the entry jboss-hibernate.jar. After that you can compile and deploy the portal with sh ./build.sh deploy (to setup the JBossAS follow the steps in the wiki document How to get JBoss Portal working). Don't forget to run the scripts to create and populate the database tables (look in the User Guide, 2.3.2.2) Good luck! Just to add, be sure to go by the online user guide for setup instructions. I will update the wiki tomorrow, as it is badly out of date. Important update: All the posts I have made till now are bond to the nukes-2.0 cvs module NOT to the new jboss-portal-2.0 module. For the new module all works fine in JBossAS.4.0.1RC1 !!!
