Thanks, Dewayne,
I tried that. But still no luck. Maybe we have different error message?

I've noticed the same thing... haven't had time to look into it yet, but, a
quick solution is to hit login 3 times. That seems to reset all of the
cached connections. You should get logged in on the 3rd try.

 Hi,
I am using JDBC realm authentication method in Tomcat. I noticed that
everytime when I redeploy my web application without restarting jboss the
JDBCRealm will stop working. I got the following message. It seems like
that
JDBC connection is lost. Is that a way for me to redeploy my application
 without restarting jboss?

2001-03-14 03:38:02 - ContextManager: JDBCRealm: The database connection
is
 null
or was found to be closed. Trying to re-open it.
2001-03-14 03:38:02 - ContextManager: JDBCRealm: There was an SQLException
 while
  in authenticate: null
 2001-03-14 03:38:02 - ContextManager: JDBCRealm: SQLException:
 java.sql.SQLExcep
tion: JZ004: User name property missing in
DriverManager.getConnection(...,
 Prop
 erties).

 Thanks,

I got the same problem. What i did to get around it is to restart jboss but i
know you don't want to do this everytime you redeploy.
