ghtdak, you still haven't told me what your actual issue is. The logging file just indicates you haven't installed all dependencies. What is the *specific* thing that does not work for you ? [jboss-user] [JBoss jBPM] - process variable not persisted when changed in sub process
Hello. We have installed JBPM 3.3.0 for evaluation purposes. During testing we ran into some problems when using subprocesses. According to the documentation, a variable defined in a subprocess should be saved in the mainprocess when the subprocess ended. This does not seems to be the case in this version. Is there somthing we overlooked or is this a bug? After the process-state Ontvankelijkheidstoets has ended, the variable subProcessResult is on the process instance is null despite the fact that this variable has been set in the sub process, the decision node Resultaat OT however does the correct thing ! | public String decide(ExecutionContext arg0) throws Exception | { | System.out.println( Decide which flow to follow depending on process decision node.); | String result = (String) arg0.getVariable(subProcessResult); | if (Constants.SUCCESS.equalsIgnoreCase(result)) | { | System.out.println(// subProcess exection was succesfull, keep following the yellowbrick road); | return Constants.SUCCESS; | } else if (Constants.FAIL.equalsIgnoreCase(result)) | { | System.out.println(// subProcess exection was no good, FAIL); | return Constants.FAIL; | } else { | throw new Exception(Unexpected value in subProcessResult variable : + result); | } | } Can someone tell me what is wrong? [jboss-user] [Beginners Corner] - unable to supply libraries
Hi, I've got some web application, so far I wrote only single servlet and it works ok. Now I try to call code from some library. I set dependency on this library in netbeans, so jar of this library is included in war. But this this library needs OTHER library to run(no at compile time) correctly. I've managed to locate THAT library. I've tried to set up dependency in netbeans, then I put it in JBossRootDir/lib directory, then in domain/lib directory and I'm still getting java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError. I even try to unpack war file and stuff that libraries aside ehm that first library (sorry, it's quite confusing) but it did now work either (I kind a expect that). what am I doing wrong? thanks in advance, alfonz. [jboss-user] [JBoss jBPM] - Re: How to configure org.jbpm.web.JobExecutorLauncher?
mputz, I tried it just now - but unsuccessfully. I use Firebird as JBPM DB, and as far as I can see - the JobExecutor holds opened transaction from its start to infinite... The only one solution I can find is https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBSEAM-3837 - because https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBPM-1166 still not fixed. But, sporadically it causes deadlocks in Firebird and/or conflicts in Entity Manager, so I decided to make separate webapplication for Job Executor instead of two context (Seam'ed and Seam'less) in one app. Of course it's stupid way but simple, anyway it works for me :) View the original post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=4196568#4196568 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=4196568 ___ jboss-user mailing list jboss-user@lists.jboss.org https://lists.jboss.org/mailman/listinfo/jboss-user

They are probably on the DLQ. You can configure a number of retries before the message goes towards the Dead Letter Queue. You probably need to consume those messages on the DLQ. of if you have a testing environment, maybe you should just reset your DB. No, It is not possible, i have to configure it for Wifi network, so disconnection frequency will be high, but our data is very less (400 to 2000 elements - each contains 3 to 4 primitives and very less update frequency) . So reconnection time should be minimized. Any guidance will be helpful...Thanks. And it is indeed the parentNode that is locked, so the fork. And the default lock is 'FORCE' which is identical to 'UPDATE' (for which 'pessimistic' in jbpm is a synonym. UPGRADE_NOWAIT is another oracle specific one, just not sure (and no time to find out) what the exact difference is. Btw, could you try to make the transition to the tasknode the first one? It is not realy deterministic, the order in which they are processed, but I'm curious if it makes a difference at all if one of the transitions has gone to a persistent node before the others are processed. JBoss 5 does not work by default on new servers. I discovered this over the weekend. I've yet to discover a way to add a folder to the deployment scanner. The workaround is after creating a new server, open the server in the server editor by double-clicking the server. Then switch the deploy location to the option of the server's actual deploy folder. Use the JBoss Deploy Folder. In GA, this will be fixed. Either for 5.0 the default location will be the deploy folder, or I will have discovered how to ensure the .metadata folder is added properly to the list of scannable folders. I was at work on this on Saturday but came up short. [jboss-user] [Installation, Configuration DEPLOYMENT] - Automatic installation on multiple systems
Hi and greetings, not quite sure whether this is the correct place to ask, but... My company is using JBoss on multiple physical servers. Now the number of Jbosses and applications hosted on top have exceeded a size where all the installation, deployment etc. can be done manually. Funny enough, nobody thought about automated installation and distribution processes so far. So my question is: is any info available on how to build an automatic JBoss installation process in enterprise environments? Like integration in default OS packaging mechanisms like Solaris packages or RPM or similar? It's not just about copying the files, but as well things like environment specific configuration during the installation process? Next step would then be automatic updating of the existing JBoss installations in case of patches. That's for JBoss itself, not for the applications that will be deployed. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction... Thanks and kind regards, Dunc. [jboss-user] [JBoss Messaging] - Memory leak in JBoss Messaging 1.4.0SP3-CP02
We have found a memory leak in JBoss Messaging 1.4.0SP3-CP02 on JBoss 4.2.2.GA + JBoss remoting 2.5.0SP1. We have nailed it down to the opening and closing of a non transacted JMS connection factory within a JTA transaction. The reason we need this is that we do send JMS messages to a singleton service in the cluster within a transaction and react on the reply. We have not been able to find any suggestion to fix in Jboss messaging, but a workaround with no memory leak. Pattern: Memory leak: MDB in JTA XA-transaction - jBPM - EJB3 SLSB - Send JMS via JNDI name ConnectionFactory in no TX mode No leak: MDB in JTA XA-transaction - jBPM - EJB3 SLSB - EJB3 SLSB with REQUIRES NEW transaction attribute - Send JMS via java:/JmsXA View the original post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=viewtopicp=4196505#4196505 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bbop=postingmode=replyp=4196505 ___ jboss-user mailing list jboss-user@lists.jboss.org https://lists.jboss.org/mailman/listinfo/jboss-user

Besides, if I disable transactions, it causes incorrect work of Job Executor. Let me see if I understand your question correctly. You changed the HTTP port for JBoss AS from 8080 to 80, and this ran fine on XP, but when you try the same thing on Server 2008 it does not work. Is my understanding correct? Did you use TCPView or netstat to see if port 80 is opened by the java.exe process? I assume that you ran JBoss AS with the -b 0.0.0.0 option. What version of JBoss AS and JVM? (By the way, I am glad you are no longer hosting the web site on XP - having more than 10 concurrent connections on XP violates the license agreement.) The type of web app and database config you are describing could be packaged in several ways, only some of which I will mention. You could have a WAR file for the app itself and a *-ds.xml file for the data source. Moving the app to another JBOss AS instance involves simply copying the WAR and *-ds.xml files. You could package the WAR and *-ds.xml within an EAR file. Then there is only one file to copy. This also works well of you have EJBs. [jboss-user] [JBoss jBPM] - Re: Problem with a decision node in a fork, join construct.
I've made another test with a stripped version of your process. I've removed the decision handlers, and made a direct transition from fork to join in one of the branches. This is the result: | HSQLDB: 3.2.2: OK, 3.2.3: OK | Oracle: 3.2.2: FAILED, 3.2.3: OK | Postgres: 3.2.2: FAILED, 3.2.3: OK | The session.flush() in org.jbpm.graph.node.Join was introduced in 3.2.3. I'll test this with 3.3.0 later or tomorrow.
