When i use java premitives/Strings as IN OUT paramters, the service displays no
malfuntion.
Is there anything missing when deploying ejbs as webservices which pass
java objects in its methods ?

Solved.

Solution :

Do not use overriden methods in SLSB which extend as Webservice.

I was using method searchBooks which was overridden.

Did you create your seam projects by wizards? If you imported it then you have
to use Right-click on projectName-ds.xml-Make deployable menu to deploy
-ds.xml.

yes, i created the project using the wizard.. i even did that 3 times just to
make sure i'm not missing something..

i will try the Make deployable option when i get home, though it's not
something i needed to do in the past, and as for the rules files, it won't even
create it so it's a bigger problem.

thanks, nitzan;

2009-05-24 Thread dickson1888
Thanks for Peter so much.
(most of my question are answered by you, thank you)

Actually, I want to config the LDAP authentication. However, I get failure and
it is hard to trace what's wrong. Do you have more example about LDAP Auth
config? Or how to trace this auth error?

At the original design of our LDAP server, no role is designed; not for this
purpose. Therefore, I just want to skip this role checking in LDAP auth.

Do you have JBoss Portal installed? Do you have JBoss Tools installed? If so,
what versions? If not, please install both.

You cannot directly access a portlet via a URL - nothing in the WBE-INF
directory is accessible from a URL. Instead, you need to access the portal URL:

Which one need to restart JBoss?

[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: HTTP Status 500 - No authenticated user while accessing

2009-05-24 Thread mabimal
Hello Mattallen,

I have tried that JIRA 2178 too, but no result yet.
Whenever i point to JBoss Portal's Schema in Oracle , it shows dashboard and
all fully functional, but i m in the situation to have my own Schema where i
will have same relationship maintained by JBoss Portal as in JBP_User, JBP_Role
and JBP_Role_Membership.

Everything works under JBoss Portal's Schema, without any modifications.
But when i point to my own Schema, then login succeeds but only dashboard not
coming.

Thanks and Regards
Mabimal
