Right now I understand your question. I have not tried 4.2 yet but in 4.1 and
AFAIK in 4.2 as well you can just complete a task if there's a task-form

Have you set up the sample identities? You can create new users
programmatically using the IdentityService or you can just add them in the
users' table in the database. In this case don't forget to create a group
membership for them or you won't be able to login.

Spoke too soon:

The problem I'm running into is that I can deploy a context.xml in a war, but I
can't include a war in my ear with the same context as my web services. JBoss
reports that the context is already installed.

So, how do I configure the context for my web services and include it in my
ear/jar? In the end, I can fallback to configuring it outside my ear, but I'd
rather not.

Thanks

Naresh,

The project is now hosted under https://www.jboss.org/snowdrop. Here you will
find the downloads and the documentation for it. I need to update the stickies
of the forum.

the svn location is: https://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/projects/snowdrop/

(1.0.0 is based on the 1_0 branch, current trunk is the future 1.1)

It is available in maven in the JBoss Maven repository as:

org.jboss.snowdrop
snowdrop-vfs
1.0.0.GA

(the other modules are snowdrop-cluster, snowdrop-deployers, snowdrop-facade
and snowdrop-weaving)

Hope that helps,
Marius

PS: Good reminder for me to update the stickies on the top of the forum ;)

Searching on context.xml makes it clear that this little beast has been around

In your Quartz Service mbean configuration (possibly at
/deploy/quartzservice.sar/META-INF/jboss-service.xml) you can add a dependency
on the data source.

Something like: jboss:service=Hypersonic,database=localDB should do the trick.

[jboss-user] [jBPM Users] - Setting the user id for a comment

2009-11-23 Thread edeleflie
HistoryComment exposes the method getUserId() ... which has the corresponding
DB column of USERID_ in the jbpm4_hist_detail table.

But there is no way (that I can see) of actually setting the user id of a
comment. The TaskService only exposes the following:

addTaskComment(java.lang.String taskId, java.lang.String message)

... with no sign of a user id!

Is this an oversight with the API ... or is it an oversight on my ability to
read the Javadocs?

mike,

When creating the ProcessInstance, you will get a processInstanceId back. Save
it.

The processInstanceId is the key into the jBPM API world.

If you want to find out all the current tasks (often only 1) for your process
instance then you do this:

taskService.createTaskQuery().processInstanceId(youSavedId).list()

Then if you want to bump the Task on to the next one ... do something like this:

outcomes = taskService.getOutcomes(tasks[0].getId()) // gets outcomes just for
the first currently running task.

then do:

taskService.completeTask( tasks[0].getId(), yourDesiredOutcome)

I want my interface to expose a list of users that a particular task can be
assigned to, according to that tasks candidate-groups paramater.

The API doesn't seem to offer any direct call (such as
Task.getCandidateGroups() or even Task.getCandidateUsers()).

In fact, I dont even see a method to get a particular task's candidate-groups
other than iterating through every possible candidate-group via a TaskQuery...
and testing each one to see if the task list it returns includes the task id
I'm interested in.

Is there an easier (less cludgesome way) to do this?

[jboss-user] [jBPM Users] - JBPM 4.1 or 4.2 on Weblogic 9.2 -> Extra jars + unable to lo

2009-11-23 Thread RockerRocker
Hi

I have deployed a JBPM (4.1) application on Weblogic 9.2 Server. After a lot of
lib clean up , it works fine except for 2 issues -

1. Extra Libraries
POM file contains

  | org.jbpm.jbpm4
  | jbpm-jpdl
  | 4.1
  |

This downloads tons of libraries to my target/web-inf/lib folder during build.
Many of these cause conflict during deployment and are not needed (as i have
other versions of those jars). I have to delete many jar files before
deploying app on Weblogic 9.2. Has anyone deployed JBPM 4.1 or 4.2 w/o any such
jar deletion/modifications ?? Can you share the POM file please.

2. When i start the server - i get the message -
com.sun.faces.config.ConfigurationException: It appears the JSP version of the
container is older than 2.1 and unable to locate the EL RI expression factory,
com.sun.el.ExpressionFactoryImpl. If not using JSP or the EL RI, make sure the
context initialization parameter, com.sun.faces.expressionFactory, is properly
set.
  |

When i remove the lines

  | com.sun.faces.expressionFactory
  | com.sun.faces.ExpressionFactoryImpl
  |

from web.xml and deploy again, it deploys w/o any issue

I have just installed jbpm 4.2 on tomcat using the ant scripts included with

What should i be using to login?

How can I create new users?

Thanks

I am able to successfully deploy the process definition and able to start the
process instance with process definition key.

My requirement is the workflow (process instance) should move to the next step
in workflow process after some user interaction. But i am not sure from which
table i can get the process instance id for that process deifnition so that i
can signal it. Also how to get the process instance id from table for that
specific process definition.

Please clarify me
Thaks for your response

[jboss-user] [Spring Integration] - ClassLoader inside deloyed bean cannot find existing class

2009-11-23 Thread ivanyuan
Hi Guru,

With the help from spring integration community, I can successfully deploy

[jboss-user] SFSB "different tx context" transaction error on jboss 4.2.X

2009-11-23 Thread Will Milspec
Hi all,

We have an transaction error that has recently appeared consistently: a
stateful session bean (SFSB) has an application error and throws an
exception. The next time the application tries to use the stateful session
bean it gets an error:

tried to enter Stateful bean with different tx context,
contextTx: TransactionImple
  < ac, BasicAction: a640128:983:4af49b0f:299 status:
ActionStatus.RUNNING >,
methodTx: TransactionImple
 < ac, BasicAction: a640128:983:4af49b0f:348 status:
ActionStatus.RUNNING >

Revewing the ejb literature, I see that if the SFSB throws a SystemException
(eg. EJBException) w, cause the app server will discard the SFSB instance.
Currently the SFSB throws an application exception. This seems like a
straightforward fix.

This code has been in place for a few years, and we've been running jboss
4.2. for a few years. So we're a bit puzzled "why now?"

One change: we have recently upgraded the jdbc drivers (mssql) from to
microsoft's version 1.1 to  2.0. The 1.2-and-later-driver handles
transaction-id's-in-the-jdbc-connection differently than the earlier 1.1
drivers. (The jdbc connection implementation actually keeps a reference to
the current transaction id in the database. After we upgraded the driver, we
saw another problem where bad exception handling kept a stale 'mssql
transaction id' around in the jdbc connection. Properly closing the result
set/stmt/connection upon error solved this jdbc
transaction-id-hanging-around problem).

After reviewing the jboss 4.2.3 code, however, I suspect that the 'jdbc
driver version' change may in not in fact pertain at all to our stateful
session bean problem, i.e. it's a 'red herring',. The
arjuna/user-transaction/statefulsession code does not even touch the jdbc
driver.  Unless I missed something

So a few follow-in questions. Can anyone comment/weigh-in/opine/pontificate:
* whether they've seen this issue?
* throwing EJBException's will solve this problem
* comment
* any tips for debugging solving these types of problems?

thanks,

bill

Best is to get it from the api (including the query api) and not use the

Are you serious? You did not ever get the impression that it is used to execute

Very little searching yielded

and many more links

anonymous wrote : However, after some trials and debugging sessions I found
that the solution to this problem is another one: you need to create a
JbpmContext by yourself:

This is also very basic jBPM stuff and in almost all examples, getting started.
So I it sounds strange to me that you only found this out through debugging.

anonymous wrote : However, as I'm working with no database at all, I wouldn't
expect that.

You yourself might not be, but does it come as a surprise that jBPM might need
one? jBPM is a statemachine, mainly for workflow, so long running processes.
Most people would like that state to be persistent to survive a crash or
restart. Most systems use a database for this (as does jBPM).

I hope this already helps you as I did not look into your two specific cases.

2009-11-23 Thread shantanu.u
My stack is as follows :
* JSF 1.2,  Facelets, Richfaces 3.2.1
* JAAS - authentication and authorization
* Tomcat 6

Points to note :
1. JAAS is working. I'm able to login into the application.
2. Roles are working. CMA intercepts when I hit a secured resource.
3. Authentication mechanism in web.xml

  | FORM
  | myrealm
  |
  |
/faces/login/login.jsf
  |
/faces/login/loginerror.jsf
  |
  |

Problem
4. What I really want is to inform the user why the login failed :
- wrong user id
- wrong password
- account locked due to too many unsuccessful attempts

   How can I do this ?

   The My JAAS LoginModule does not have any handle to session/request/JSF
messages ?

   I don't want a generic login failure page.

[jboss-user] [Clustering] - Re: Forcing a certain node to become master

2009-11-23 Thread bstansbe...@jboss.com
For sure you have to make modifications yourself.

The actual service topology is controlled by the
org.jboss.ha.framework.server.DistributedReplicantManagerImpl, which is a
sub-component of the HAPartition.

The JGroups view that's passed into HAPartition.viewAccepted() provides the
list of nodes that have connected to the JGroups channel. But JGroups view !=
service topology, since not all nodes may have a particular service deployed,
and there are timing differences during startup/shutdown of a server. That is,
HAPartition connects the channel, so a node appears in the view, and then a
service that uses HAPartition is deployed on that node, at which time the node
appears in the service topology. The DistributedReplicantManagerImpl deals
with that stuff.

A lot of AS clustering stuff works by getting notifications from
DistributedReplicantManager when the topology for a service changes. For
example, the org.jboss.ha.singleton.HASingletonSupport class uses those
notifications to trigger election of an HASingleton master. The
org.jboss.ha.framework.server.HATarget class uses the notifications to provide
the correct topology to server-side interceptors like
org.jboss.aspects.remoting.ReplicantsManagerInterceptor and to the clustered
invokers like org.jboss.invocation.unified.server.UnifiedInvokerHA.  Those
classes advise remote clients when the service topology changes. The proxy
factories a la org.jboss.proxy.generic.ProxyFactoryHA listen for notifications
and respond by publishing a new version of the proxy in JNDI, so clients doing
a lookup get a proxy with the current topology.

So what you're trying to do is to get the topology in the desired order. With
that many different places receiving notifications, I don't think you want each
one ordering the topology. Rather it's more logical to have the
DistributedReplicantManagerImpl order things in the way you want before issuing
the notifications.

There are no hooks or configuration points to let you plug in how things are
ordered. You'd have to customize to add that. If you are able to come up with a
solution that is generally useful, let me know, perhaps we could add it to the
AS codebase.

[jboss-user] [jBPM Users] - Re: [jBPM 4.2] JndiDescriptor and JndiBinding

2009-11-23 Thread kukeltje
Most likely one of the reasons why you did not get an answer is the kind of
triviality of the question AND the fact that they are not part of the 'public
api' and therefor it is not advised to use them.

Short answer (from the API docs on the classes)

  | /** parses a descriptor for looking up an object from
  | * JNDI through the InitialContext.
  |  */
  |

A little closer look on the package name shows it is a pvm class, and with some
reading you can see that these kinds of classes are used to parse
processdefinitions.

So it most likely is used to have attributes on a certain node implementation
to call e.g. a ejb method on an ejb instead of on a pojo.

[jboss-user] [jBPM Users] - How does one create new instance with process variables thro

2009-11-23 Thread schechtere
I'm trying to use Rest interface to create new instance. It's working, but Its
not assigning process variables to the new instance.

Here's the URL to view an instance created through the console (rather than
through a direct Rest call), and the data it returns:

http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/process/instance/VacationRequest.10023/dataset

{dataset ref="VacationRequest.10023"}
{data key="Done" javaType="java.lang.String"}
{value xsi:type="xs:string">Submithttp://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/process/definition/VacationRequest-1/new_instance"}

{p}Days: {input type="text" name='number_of_days' id='number_of_days' /}
{p}Name: {input type="text" name='employee_name' id='employee_name' /}
{p}

{/form}

When I submit this form, with values entered, I am redirected to

http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/process/definition/VacationRequest-1/new_instance

And see data:

{
  "id": "VacationRequest.90046",
  "definitionId": "VacationRequest-1",
  "startDate": "2009-11-23 11:24:13",
  "suspended": false,
  "rootToken": {
"id": "VacationRequest.90046",
"currentNodeName": "verify_request",
"children": [],
"availableSignals": [],
"canBeSignaled": true
  }
}

Finally, when I look at the new instance using

http://localhost:8080/gwt-console-server/rs/process/instance/VacationRequest.90046/dataset

I see

{dataset ref="VacationRequest.90046"/}

Any insights on why I'm not seeing the number_of_days and employee_name process
variables?

Supposing I have to make the modifications myself:

* Use a LoadBalancer like FirstAvailableIdenticalAllProxies but with a 'always
use first one' pattern and have the cluster give me the targets in the correct
order. (i.e. master first)
  setting my new class in the cluster-service.xml
  (though the client will need a copy of the class as well)

* HAPartitionImpl.viewAccepted() is looks like the central place where the
logic of the cluster view is kept, updated and events sent out.
  Though I still need to figure out how I might be able to change this.

 Q: is there a config xml somewhere I can use to set this?

  I think it would be possible to just sort the view by a certain logic, though
I still have to figure out how to share this info on the cluster (prob.
something with JGroups.

* anything else I would have to watch out for?

This is the correct way. Unlike Tomcat which supports only one app type (WAR
apps), Jboss AS supports many app types and the suffix (.war) on the directory
is necessary to identify the app type.

[jboss-user] [jBPM Users] - JBPM4 Process Image

2009-11-23 Thread TejJBPM
Hi all,

I am using the latest version of JBPM 4.2 API and GPD.

I dont see my project generating any process image for the jpdl.xml I create. I
would like to show the current state of my process and would like to give a
link to the image to show the state of execution.

Can anybody give some pointers please? Have I missed any configuration?

Thanks in advance

[jboss-user] [JNDI and Naming] - Re: automate jboss jndi creation

2009-11-23 Thread PeterJ
OK, now I see what you are saying. When using the admin console:

* if you create a new data source, it is places in server/xxx/deploy as
jndiname-ds.xml
* if you edit an existing data source (including one you just created a few
seconds ago) then the modifications (or actually, a whole new set of config
settings) is placed in
server/xxx/data/attachment/datasourcename-ds.xml-randomid/org.jboss.resource.metadata.mcf.ManagedConnectionFactoryDeploymentGroup.attachment.xml

What you would like to do is merge the changes that appear in the
org.jboss.resource.metadata.mcf.ManagedConnectionFactoryDeploymentGroup.attachment.xml
 file into the server/xxx/deploy/*-ds.xml file.

I would hate to tell you to write an XSLT to convert
org.jboss.resource.metadata.mcf.ManagedConnectionFactoryDeploymentGroup.attachment.xml
 into *-ds.xml. Perhaps the embedded jopr developers would have a better idea,
or you could suggest this functionality as a desired enhancement (who knows,
they may already have something like this planned). You could ask in the
embedded jopr forum:
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewforum&f=294

I suspect that Jopr and JON operate the same ways as they share this admin code.

[jboss-user] [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - global web access to fckeditor

2009-11-23 Thread bwalker55
I'm moving my web apps from Tomcat to jBoss.

One of tools that I used in all applications on Tomcat was fckeditor. It was
installed at ../webapps/fckeditor and was available to all applications from
/fckeditor.

What is the equivalent in jBoss?
Installing to ../deploy/fckeditor does not work.
Renaming the directory to fckeditor.war does work, but I find this a bit odd.

I read in another post about installing fckeditor in the ROOT application. Not
sure how this would work and how other applications would see it.

So, I suppose my question would be: looking for recommendations or best
practices on how to provide a .js library (such as fckeditor) to all installed
web applications in jBoss (5.1.0 GA).

Thanks, Bob.

Any attribute you place in the session has to be serializable.

There's a feature request JIRA to ease this restriction --

releases attributes need to be serializable.

 Well i personally don;t see any complexity in refreshing entity graph using

[jboss-user] [Installation, Configuration & Deployment] - Dedicated thread pool

2009-11-23 Thread haleakala269
Hello All,

I would like to know if there is a way to configure a dedicated thread queue
for a particular war/ear application ?

The aim is to isolate a monitoring application from customer applications.
Then, if monitoring app crashes, customer apps are not concerned by this issue.

This can be done on a weblogic app server by using the wl-dispatch-policy
element to assign the Web application to a configured work manager by
identifying the work manager name.

I don't know if it's possible to do the same with JBoss app server.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards.

Ah, you shouldn't deploy it all in a single rar.
Split it in two - rar and wrapper.jar.

Sorry,you're right.
I was referring to the Admin-console.
If I change a datasource via the admin-console, it created a file in data /

Last question: using JON, I have the same type of behavior?

[jboss-user] [JBoss Cache Users] - Re: Question about lockParentForChildInsertRemove - when to

2009-11-23 Thread bstansbe...@jboss.com
Thanks for the question; I didn't personally work on the MVCC code and the
discussions I'd been on didn't specifically discuss handling of children. So,
had to chat with Jason Greene and look into the code, both of which are always
good. :-)

As you said getChildren(Names) is a read operation, so with MVCC it won't block
due to a concurrent write.

If you need to avoid phantom reads with getChildren(Names), i.e. do two reads
in the same tx and not have children appear/disappear, you need to use
lockParentForChildInsertRemove. REPEATABLE_READ is implemented by making a
copy of the node before writing and storing it in a context object associated
with the transaction, and then only inserting that copy into the main tree on
tx commit. But the addition/removal of a child is only considered to be a
"write" if lockParentForChildInsertRemove=true. If
lockParentForChildInsertRemove=false, no copy of the parent is made, so the
inserts/removals become visible to other threads as soon as they commit.

This behavior is consistent with the definition of REPEATABLE_READ in the
java.sql.Connection javadocs, which says phantom reads can occur with R_R.
Database notions never map exactly to a tree structure, but our interpretations
have always treated new child nodes as being analogous to new db records
returned by a query.

If you do set lockParentForChildInsertRemove=true, concurrent
insertions/removals won't occur, but only one will proceed at a time; any
others will block until the first completes.

some very little progress, but I think I'm doing something wrong again.

First of all: is there any documentation on it? The jBPM 3 user guide explains

First of all, my environment:

[jboss-user] [JNDI and Naming] - automate jboss jndi creation

2009-11-23 Thread Artec
hello,
We are migrating our applications from WebSphere to JBoss 5, and then we need
to migrate an high number of JNDI (over 50).
We noticed that using embendeed jopr, creates a new file <>-ds.xml under deploy
directory, but, always from the console, if we modifying the DataSource is
actually modified the file under the directory data / attachments /
There is the possibility to modify the original XML? or the ability to
synchronize the two files?
Furthermore, having many jndi to manage, there is a tool that allows us to
modify the original XML deployment under the directory?
Thanks a lot
Bye

[jboss-user] [JBoss Messaging Users] - jbm 1.4.6.GA download missing

Hello,

I would like to download jbm 1.4.6.GA in order to replace jbm 1.4.3.GA which
comes with JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA because 1.4.3 seems to have some serious problems
fixed in 1.4.6. Where can I get jbm 1.4.6.GA? It's missing in the download
section.

Thanks,

[jboss-user] [Clustering] - Re: Forcing a certain node to become master

2009-11-23 Thread FrankTheTank
Maybe I can extend the justification a little further:

I'd like to have a set-up where I have 2+ nodes, but only one is
'alive-and-kicking' while the others are completely passive.

Any clients using the proxy would only interact with the one master server.

On a regular fail-over, everything moves over to the next system (currently I
have no requirements for a specific fail-over scenario) and the proxy simply
starts talking with the new master.

Data replication is handled outside of JBoss. Data is NOT time critical.

Nothing shall happen if the failed server rejoins.

Finally I'd like to be able to trigger such a fail-over.
F.i. to force one certain server to become master (again).

Environment considerations:
* As mentioned, data replication is handled outside of JBoss, as both JBoss AS
and DB run on the same nodes.

* I have multiple ha-singletons that are needed and can only run once in a
productive environment.
This is one of the difficulties I had with other designs, as clustering would
bring the required actions (start, stop, etc) with it that I would otherwise
have to copy.

* clients should only interact with the master and be as fail-over tolerant as
possible. Also something provided by the clustered proxy, though the
'only-connect-to-the-master' might be a step to take.

I have looked into the sources a little bit but have not really found anything
yet that indicates if this is even possible.
>From what I could tell the cluster takes it's info from the JGroup views.

I would really appreciate any help.

[jboss-user] [EJB 3.0 Users] - Migration EJB2.1 -> EJB3 - Usage of ValueObjects / DataTrans

2009-11-23 Thread Torsten Knopp
Hi!

I want to migrate a large Application from EJB2.1 to EJB3. Migration the
SessionBeans was easy. Now I want to migrate the Persistence from EntityBeans
(2.1) to Entitys (3.0) and I want to reuse my ValueObjects (VO / DTO) to
transfer the data to my Java-Client. I dont want to transfer the Entity
(detach) because I dont want to change the Client-Application.

Has anyone used ValueObjects or DatatransferObjects in EJB3 as an embedded
Object or anything else?

[jboss-user] [EJB 3.0 Users] - Re: Set JNDI location for EJB 3.0 Bean in jboss-4.2.1.GA

2009-11-23 Thread Wolfgang Knauf
Hi,

ejb-jar.xml: I think you have to use "business-local" instead of "local".
"local" is for EJB 2.1 beans, while "business-local" is for 3.0. With JBoss
4.2, I think both versions work, but in 5.0 this will no longer work. Probably,
someone at JBoss misunderstood the spec and this was changed later ;-).

jboss.xml: you need "local-jndi-name" for you local interface, not "jndi-name".
This might be the reason for your error.

Hope this helps

Wolfgang

Is that all you seen in the error logs? Those logs don't show the exact error.
If there's anything more that's logged on the console, please post that too.
Does this error occur when you run the server from the command prompt instead
of the IDE?

By the way, if possible, please post in english :) Many here may not know
Polish language. I had to use google translator to figure out which language
you had posted in :)

[jboss-user] [JNDI and Naming] - Re: getting ear-name

2009-11-23 Thread hdmonty
I'm using JBoss AS 4.2.3.

The problem is, I make some lookups of my Session Beans(the bean name is
dynamically determined), but the EAR-name can change in different installations.
I know the annotations @Remote-/@LocalBinding. That works fine, but now I must
differ between same SessionBeans(equal source code) in different EARs.

here is a sample, that comes my problem near:

EAR1 contains MyHelloBean1, MyHelloBean2 and MyGreetingBean
EAR2 contains MyHelloBean1, MyHelloBean2 and MyGreetingBean too

MyGreetingBean determines the bean name from a database table.
Now I have to lookup ("EAR-NAME/MyHelloBeanX/remote").

[jboss-user] [EJB 3.0 Users] - Re: EntityManager.refresh() works only on managed entities.

2009-11-23 Thread Wolfgang Knauf
Hi,

you might better ask this in some EJB spec forum ;-).
The spec/JavaDoc at
http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/api/javax/persistence/EntityManager.html#refresh%28java.lang.Object%29
 explicitely states:
...
  | Throws:
  | IllegalArgumentException - if not an entity or entity is not managed
  |   ...
  |

To refresh a detached entity, you have to use "find" or "getReference".

Best regards

Why do you want the ear file name? Is this related to the default jndi name to

of AS do you use?

[jboss-user] [EJB 3.0 Users] - Re: [JBoss 5.1 GA & EJB 3.0] persistence.xml problem : Canno

2009-11-23 Thread longbeach
I do have 2 persistence.xml files in my EAR archive but i am specifically
calling a unit-name that is present in one persistence.xml file only.

All i do in my servlet is call a stateless session bean. And from the SSB I
execute a JPQL query. Transactions are container-managed. No manual commit.

That SSB is a timer service by the way but i do not think it matters.

Hello,

how can I determine the name of the EAR-file in a Session Bean. (The Session
Bean is a ejb-modul of this EAR.) Is it possible?

As part of the transaction are you enrolling more than one resource in the
transaction? Maybe multiple (local-tx) datasources are being used in that
transaction?

[jboss-user] [JBoss Web Services Users] - Basic WebService setup failing (wsconsume 4.2.2 vs 5.1.0 - g

2009-11-23 Thread jpebe001
Hi there @ JBoss web,

Disclaimer: I do not think the following is a bug (because this is pretty basic
functionality) but I cannot see what, for the life of us, we are doing wrong or
unconventional.

We are using a basic example and we have the following setups

A: JBoss 5.1.0 with CXF WS Stack 3.2.1
B: JBoss 4.2.2 with CXF WS Stack 3.0.2

For both A and B we have the SAME WSDL file (reproduced for completeness
hereunder - note that this is automatically generated through the same server
class annotation).

  |
  | http://server.ws.ixaris.com";
  | xmlns:ns1="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/http";
  | xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/";
  | xmlns:tns="http://server.ws.ixaris.com";
  | xmlns:wsdl="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/";
  | xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";>
  |

  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |
  |   http://127.0.0.1:8080/testapiwebservice/testapiservice"/>
  |
  |
  |
  |

Using the wsconsume tool in the JBoss BIN folder, this WSDL file generates
different clients for setups A and B (described above). The main and (possibly
only) interesting difference in the service interface is the following:

In A: JBoss 5.1.0 with CXF WS Stack 3.2.1: (class finally generated by Apache
CXF 2.2.4)

  |   @WebResult(name = "testApiCallerResult", targetNamespace = "")
  |   @.. //other annotations identical!
  |   public com.ixaris.ws.server.Testpaymentconfirmation apiCaller(
  | @WebParam(name = "arg0", targetNamespace =
"http://server.ws.ixaris.com";)
  | com.ixaris.ws.server.Testpayment arg0
  | );
  |

In B: JBoss 4.2.2 with CXF WS Stack 3.0.2: (class finally generated by JAX-WS
RI 2.1.1-b03)

  |   @WebResult(name = "testApiCallerResult", targetNamespace =
"http://server.ws.ixaris.com";)
  |   @.. //other annotations identical!
  |   public Testpaymentconfirmation apiCaller(
  | @WebParam(name = "arg0", targetNamespace =
"http://server.ws.ixaris.com";)
  | Testpayment arg0);
  |

As you can see the client generated by the wsconsume tool in setup A does not
have a namespace and generates the following exception:

  | Exception in thread "main" javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: class
com.ixaris.ws.client.endpoints.ApiCallerResponse do not have a property of the

com.sun.xml.internal.ws.client.sei.ResponseBuilder$DocLit.(ResponseBuilder.java:475)

  |

Note that if I add this

targetNamespace = "http://server.ws.ixaris.com";

to the Jboss 5.1.0 and CXF 3.2.1 (setup A) WebResult annotation on the
interface, everything works fine.

Note: I am running BOTH war files on JBoss 5.1.0 with CXF stack 3.2.1

Any ideas why this is happening ?

Many Thanks
JP

Hi Jaikiran, thanks for helping.

Well, before reading your answer, I did some googling and found a link where
someone had previously encounter that error :
http://venugopaal.wordpress.com/

I did what he suggested, I modified the file bossts-properties.xml
(jbossjta-properties.xml was merged) and added the following line :

  |

And it works.

But I would like to understand what was wrong :
some issue with the arjuna API ?

Looks like you are trying to run that query when the transaction is already
marked for rollback (probably because of some exception earlier).

[jboss-user] [jBPM Users] - Re: Can't get pooled task instance list with jbpm & seam - p

2009-11-23 Thread achimh
Ok, I missed the "real answer" for my thread-problem :D

As the annotation do not work the provided seam-objects like
pooledTaskInstanceList do not work either. Therefore I had to write a bean that
provides this information. It could look like this:

  | @Name("taskManager")
  | @Stateless
  | public class TaskManagerBean implements TaskManagerLocal {
  |
  |   ...
  |
  | /** Stores the process engine instance. */
  | private ProcessEngine processEngine = new
Configuration().buildProcessEngine();
  |
  | /** Stores the user's identity. */
  | @In
  | private Identity identity;
  |
  | /** Stores a list of tasks that are assigned to the current user. */
  | @DataModel
  | private List assignedTasks;
  |
  | /** Stores the currently selected assigned Task. */
  | @DataModelSelection(value = "assignedTasks")
  | private Task assignedTask;
  |
  | /**
  | * Stores a list of tasks that belong the groups the current user is
member of and wait for an
  |  * assignment.
  |  */
  | @DataModel
  | private List groupTasks;
  |
  | /** Stores the currently selected assigned Task. */
  | @DataModelSelection(value = "groupTasks")
  | private Task groupTask;
  |
  | /**
  | * Factory method to request the assigned tasks.
  |  */
  | @Factory("assignedTasks")
  | public void findAssignedTasks() {
  | if (identity.isLoggedIn()) {
  | assignedTasks =
processEngine.getTaskService().findPersonalTasks(
  | identity.getCredentials().getUsername());
  | } else {
  | assignedTasks = new ArrayList();
  | }
  | }
  |
  | /**
  | * Factory method to request the group tasks.
  |  */
  | @Factory("groupTasks")
  | public void findGroupTasks() {
  | if (identity.isLoggedIn()) {
  | groupTasks = processEngine.getTaskService().findGroupTasks(
  | identity.getCredentials().getUsername());
  | } else {
  | groupTasks = new ArrayList();
  | }
  | }
  |
  | public String assignGroupTask() {
  | if (identity.isLoggedIn() && groupTask != null) {
  | processEngine.getTaskService().assignTask(groupTask.getId(),
  | identity.getCredentials().getUsername());
  | return TASK_ASSIGNED;
  | }
  | return null;
  | }
  | }
