1 GB memory. Works for me too, nothing special to do.

May be there is nothing to do with it, but I'm running the JDK, not the JRE
(1.5.09)

Yeah, I'm running the SDK as well. Maybe it has something to do with the
Subclipse plug-in. They have a release just for Eclipse 3.2, but it doesn't
seem to play well with JBoss IDE.

A new packaging utility is being made and it will be in the next release. We
don't want to release a new beta without this packaging project done, however,
the author of it has other responsibilities as well that eat into his time.

Once that is done, I'm working to integrate with that packaging utility a bit,
and then we can release. ETA right now is undeclared.

Thank you for this insight, Rob!

Good luck with the new packaging utility, I'm sure it will be fantastic.

Can you give us an idea of when this will be ready? I haven't been able to get
the 2.0 beta to work on Windows and I am waiting for the next release to try
again.

ekusnitz:

Are you using a Java 1.4 JVM to try to start up your Eclipse. We found that
the Windows version required that we specify a Java 1.5 JVM at the start:

C:\apps\eclipse-3.2-clean\eclipse.exe -showlocation -vm
c:\apps\java\jdk1.5.0_07\bin\javaw -vmargs -Xmx512M

Using 1.5 allowed us to launch the JBoss server correctly from within Eclipse
where 1.4 would die with strange error messages.

I know this isn't a huge help, but I thought I'd mention that I do run JBoss
2.0 Beta 2 with Eclipse under Windows with 1.5.0_10. I just thought it may
help slightly to know that it CAN be done.

As far as I recall, I didn't do anything interesting to make it run. I just
downloaded the bundle and it worked.

For those who successfully run it under Windows, how much memory do you have
installed? Thanks
