[jboss-user] [JBoss Seam] - Re: Red Hat JBoss and Exadel Partnership - not a technical q
Red Hat Developer Studio will only be available as a complete/certified package with a Red Hat Subscription. The individual plugins and components that are in that package are open sourced under the JBoss brand. Just curious, because the studio will only be available with Red Hat Subscription does that mean there will be no open source version of Exadel Studio Pro (which has now extended trial period). And note the box on the right side here: http://labs.jboss.com/portal/rhdevstudio While Red Hat works on the open sourcing of Red Hat Developer Studio, Exadel is making available a free, extended trial of Exadel Studio Pro 4.0 which should last until Red Hat Developer Studio is available. Once this trial for Exadel Studio Pro expires, come back here to get Red Hat Developer Studio. Just in case this isn't clear: Every plugin for Eclipse that is part of RHDS will be available under an open source license. So you can even combine them in whatever way you want via an Eclipse update site or something and build your own variant of "RHDS". You are right, I am sorry for not paying attention. As it states: anonymous wrote : | Once fully opensourced, binaries for all of the individual plugins will be made available for free while the "Red Hat Developer Studio" will only be made available as part of a Developer Subscription.
