Thank you Pete. Yes I want the latter. I did not move it, it is in the directory where SeamGen generated it. I noticed that it does trigger, when I run the ant test script. Do you think the build script is the cause of my problem? seam.properties is used for two purposes, to mark an jar as containing Seam components and to set values. If you want to use the latter, then you must place the seam.properties in the WEB-INF/classes directory.
