I am doing the ampersand sign () followed by le and followed by a ;
If I give that string, the post says it is =.

Why does parsing components.xml give an error ?

To be honest I have never seen () (le;) 
Can you do () (lt;) = ?
Also, I thought you needed a 'select' term.
