[JBoss-user] [EJB/JBoss] - why is my bean working in synchronus way
here is the deal ..
I've developed some bean that does something ..
when I deploy and start 2 clients on my server ..and press the client button to call
my newly created statefull bean .. first it executes for the first client and then for
the second ..
for example ..
I've put in my bean for(int i = 0; i<100;i++) {System.out.prinln(i);}
and it prints out first hundred and then second hundred for the second client !?!?
is there a way to make this asynchronus.. I think there is some setting to do this
where ?

Hi I have modified the NTLoginModule for the Project. When i enter my login id as present in the NT it accepts it and gives me a 403 Access Denied error. It seems it is not geting the roles from the NT or something like that. So i change the commit() to select the roles from the Database using a query but still it is not working and giving the same Error can u please suggest me as in how should i proceed in the situation. small demo-application. In contrast to others on this forum, I'd like to access the
EJBs not via JSPs but solely by a standalone client with GUI.

hmm is there a simple howto to get the mp3 player to work? I can't get it to work lol And also: the site only works on my local computer :( if they go to http://sjaaksken.dyndns.org:8080/nukes/index.html they get 'page cannot be displayed' or 'page unavailable' or 'gateway timeout' while I can look at the site on my local network? I am running apache next to the jboss/nukes server. Is that the cause of the problem? Maybe it handles incomming connections and thus can't find the url on the apache server(as it 's running on the jboss server). But still when I shut down the apache server it doesn't work either. My noobishness shows again lol. Little help would be nice since I'm making progress every time I ask something hehe. The following problem does not exist in 3.2.3, but appears when I deploy under 3.2.4.
I am using default CMP container settings for commit-option, read-ahead, etc.
My BrokerSplit EJB has a one-to-many relationship with Deals. It also has a
one-to-many relationship with Users. So, the fields of the EJB are:
Deal (CMR)
User (CMR)
ID: PK Field
Commission: CMP Field
My use case is that I call deal->getBrokerSplit(), followed by getters on the Broker
Split object. I have tried reordering my getter invocations, and have had the same
results each time.
The getId() call is always successful.
The getUser() call is always successful (I don't know if it matters, but the User
instance has always been previously loaded in another context).
The getCommission() call fails with the following behavior:
Lines 109-113 of JDBCLoadEntityCommand:

This call returns true, so that no SQL is actually executed on the load.
This return goes back down the call stack to lines 177-179 of JDBCCMP2xFieldBridge:
manager.loadField(this, ctx);
if(!fieldState.isLoaded())
throw new EJBException("Could not load field value: " + getFieldName());
The manger.loadField() call is how we got to JDBCLoadEntityCommand. But on return the
test to fieldState.isLoaded() fails, causing it to throw the exception "Could not load
field value: commission".
It appears that the engine is making an incorrect assessment as to whether the field
is being loaded into the read-ahead cache, but I'm reaching the limits of my
capabilities here.

Problem sovled. This is not a valid application.xml and unfortunately we do not validate the application.xml against its dtd because we allow for one without any modules in the case of an ear containing only sars. Thanks for your reply. I did try netstat -a, could not see that port in use. First time when I start JBoss I don't get address bind error for port . [JBoss-user] [Installation & Configuration] - WAR and EJB-JAR in same EAR?
I have a really strange deployment problem with JBoss 3.2.3: I have an EAR that contains a JAR with some EJBs and other classes, and a WAR with JSPs, struts stuff etc. When I copy the EAR into the deploy directory, only the JAR is picked up by the deployer, nothing from the WAR is available. If I then copy the WAR into deploy directory, the JSPs are available. So my JAR and my WAR seem to be okay. I check application.xml multiple times, everything looks fine. I remove the entry for the JAR from application.xml, copy the EAR to the deploy directory and - voila - the WAR deploys just fine (after I removed the WAR file from the deploy directory). So it seems that my application.xml it correct after all. But what is the cause of this behavior? Am I doing something wrong or does JBoss really not support both an and a module in the same EAR? Hi, Can I explicitely release a bean's lock when working in a transaction (assuming I know what I'm doing of course)? Is there a way of explicitely acquiring the lock (without the need to access a method)?
