[JBoss-user] Why did my message in a JBoss forum disappear?
Hello Marc Fleury, a message which I posted today in the Lizzard's corner forum disappeared without a trace. The Lizzard's corner forum http://www.jboss.org/forum.jsp?forum=91 Do you have an explanation for this? Was that a result of a technical glitch? Was it deleted because I was mentioning and quoting from an ASF announcement? If it was deliberately deleted: who decided this? Xerces 2 is currently under development." http://xml.apache.org/crimson/) "Xerces2 is the next generation of high performance, fully compliant XML parsers in the Apache Xerces family. JBoss 3.2 and 4.0 (Re: [JBoss-user] building jboss from cvs)
Thanks a lot. My error was to check out *everything* from the repository /cvs/jboss using Netbeans and due to a glitch not all modules were checked out. I am curious and now checked out the 4.0 version of jboss-all. I had no problems building it. Is there any roadmap available? Which features are scheduled for 3.2 and 4.0? Re: [JBoss-user] building jboss from cvs
building jboss from cvsI also have trouble to build JBoss using the latest source code version on a Windows 2000 machine. The directory structure seems to have changed after version 3.0.1. The 3rd draft of "JBoss 3.0: Quick Start Guide" therefore is no longer up-to-date. I found lots of readme files but none which told me how to build the software. Which build.bat should I call? Re: [JBoss-user] Logging from within EJBs
> How can JBoss deprecate an interface in a separate package? Category has been deprecated by the log4j project: "This class has been deprecated and replaced by the Logger subclass. It will be kept around to preserve backward compatibility until mid 2003. Logger is a subclass of Category, i.e. it extends Category. In other words, a logger is a category. Thus, all operations that can be performed on a category can be performed on a logger. Whenever log4j is asked to produce a Category object, it will instead produce a Logger object. However, methods that previously accepted category objects still continue to accept category objects. For example, the following are all legal and will work as expected. // Deprecated form: Category cat = Category.getInstance("foo.bar") // Preferred form for retrieving loggers: Logger logger = Logger.getLogger("foo.bar") The first form is deprecated and should be avoided. There is absolutely no need for new client code to use or refer to the Category class.
