Thank you genman and raja05. I will try this and let you know. [JBoss-user] [Beginners Corner] - Setting up a WAR file to see inside an existing EAR file
I would like to set up a web module outside of an EAR file that can use many classes inside the EAR file. I already have an EAR file with a WAR file in it. I would like to create an additional WAR file that uses resources within the EAR. This will enable quick deployment in the test enviroment. The WAR is only a couple kb while the EAR is several mb. I want to be able to make quick changes to jsp and js files without having the burden of redeploying the entire application. [JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS JBossMQ] - How do you set the number of retries on a MDB?
I have been told that you can override the number of retires on a MDB. I cannot however find any documentation on how this is accomplished. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Ok, where do I set the retry to 1. If my EJB method rollsback I don't want to try again at all. Where do I set the retries to a different number. Thanks in advance. [JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS JBossMQ] - Re: Rollback affects both Hypersonic database and Oracle
Thanks genman 1. jboss - 4.0.1 2. No error conditions except the timeout issue while the CMP method waits for a new transaction. This is just a standard timeout error. anonymous wrote : One alternative would be to branch a single message (request) into multiple messages, and have each of the parts of the request processed independently. This will solve part of my problem however if I process even one message which calls one CMP method where the method fails(rollback) then the message queue will rollback its delete of the message from the queue and begin to reprocess it. This will create a tight loop, eat resourses and eventually crash. Thanks again genman. Where do you set the max retries? [JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS JBossMQ] - Rollback affects both Hypersonic database and Oracle
I have a MDB that calls several methods in an EJB(CMP) that has a transaction with an oracle database. The MDB of course is linked to hypersonic (until I find a reason to remove it). Problem : As it stands now if everything in the EJB commits successfully then there is no problem however if the EJB issues a rollback it not only rollsback the transaction to Oracle but also the hypersonic queue info. Then the MDB still thinks it has a message to proccess. In addition to this if the first call to the EJB fails(rollsback) then every other call will fail. Solution that I tried: I tried to make all the EJB methods that are called to require new transactions however when it enters the EJB method it seems like it just sits there waiting for a new transaction which it never gets. Then it dies, rollsback and reattempts to proccess the message which causes a tight loop. Very BAD. How can I accomplish my goal of rolling back changes within the CMP method if something fails but committing other successful calls to that same CMP method and committing to hypersonic that I have proccessed the message.
