[JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - Re: How to resolve error javax.jms.InvalidClientIDException:

2005-04-07 Thread bartvh
I am hesitating to install this ClientReconnectInterceptor, because of the
change in semantics.

My new question is : would a ClientMonitorInterceptor also work? The idea is
that this interceptor would close the stale connection (the connection won't be
used because the client side has thrown away it's side). And thus recovering
the client id.

Any comments?

[JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - What IL's are working properly, in what release of jboss

2005-04-02 Thread bartvh
We are also experiencing the same problem, using HTTPIL in jboss-3.2.3. So I
suspect that invocation layer is still 'buggy'?

[JBoss-user] [Messaging, JMS & JBossMQ] - NullPointerException in HTTPServerILServlet

2005-04-02 Thread bartvh
After a restart of our jboss server (3.2.3), a JMS client reconnected through
HTTPIL, and we got the following persistent problem:

2005-04-01 12:25:15,235 TRACE
[org.jboss.mq.il.http.servlet.HTTPServerILServlet] doPost() defers to
processRequest, see the parameters in its trace.
  | 2005-04-01 12:25:15,235 TRACE
[org.jboss.mq.il.http.servlet.HTTPServerILServlet]
processRequest(HttpServletRequest [EMAIL PROTECTED], HttpServletResponse [EMAIL
PROTECTED])
  | 2005-04-01 12:25:15,235 TRACE
[org.jboss.mq.il.http.servlet.HTTPServerILServlet] HTTPILRequest recieved:
authenticate(class java.lang.String XYZ, class java.lang.String XYZ)
  | 2005-04-01 12:25:15,235 DEBUG
[org.jboss.mq.il.http.servlet.HTTPServerILServlet] Threw an exception of type
'java.lang.NullPointerException' with a message of 'null.' This exception is
being propogated to the client as a HTTPILResponse.

On the client side, we see (I don't have a complete stack trace):
NullPointerException:
  | at
org.jboss.mq.il.http.servlet.HTTPServerILServlet.processRequest(HTTPServerILServlet.java:239)
Looking at the source code of this servlet, it seems the invoker was not set.

There is a dependency in the HTTPIL to the Invoker mbean, but in this case, the
client already got the connection factory (it is caching it locally). So it
accesses the servlet even before the invoker would be registered. At this time,
the servlet now loaded, but it is not initialized properly.

In conclusion : Shouldn't there be an extra dependency in the
jbossmq-httpil.war to the invoker mbean?

2005-02-17 Thread bartvh
I'm seeing exactly the same problem, though I am still using jboss-3.2.3.
Have you made any progress on this?

I had TRACE logging enabled for 'org.jboss.ejb.plugins' and saw the following
pass by:

  | 2005-02-17 15:05:51,540 TRACE [SecurityInterceptor] Authenticated
principal=null
  |
In the source code of org.jboss.ejb.EnterpriseContext.EJBContextImpl (3.2.3), I
found:

  | // TODO - how to handle this best?
  | public boolean isCallerInRole(String id)
  | {
  | if (principal == null)
  |return false;
  |
  |
Probably related, no?

Is it possible your listener is registered only after the server has been
started? Try to check if the server has been started already before
registering the listener.

The substituted values get quoted, so the query actually will read as
SELECT DISTINCT city
  | FROM UsaZipCode
  | WHERE statecode = 'NJ' AND county IN ('Morris,Essex') AND citytype = 'D'
  | ORDER BY city;
(note the position of the quotes in the substitution of the second '?')

This explains why a single element works.

Just a side note: to find out why foreign key constraint fails under MySQL with INNODB
tables, use
SHOW INNODB STATUS
You will have to be a superuser on the mysql server to execute the command.

Although it probably should resolve locally in case of deployment on jboss, it still
is a PITA now the dtd's have been removed from www.jboss.org. For instance, xslt
preprocessing of jboss*.xml files now fails if I don't remove the DOCTYPE declaration.

I really need a fix here. At first, the problem did not seem to do too much harm, but
lately--probably because the server is used more--it sometimes renders the jms server
totally useless : all (OIL) connections fail with a connection refused.

Is there any way to isolate the problem a bit more? If I try to set TRACE level
debugging on for the whole jboss.mq, I get way too much output.

Bart.

My guess, this is because of an attempt to forward a message to the client that was
