Are you doing the lookup inside the JBoss JVM?

In that case:

1. Use the in JBoss already existent jndi.properties (dont edit it!) and just
do a new InitialContext()

2. Do the lookup like in your first post - that is dont use the java:/
namespace.

[JBoss-user] [Clustering/JBoss] - JGroup - State could not be retrieved

2004-06-24 Thread lepe
Bela: Why does it take 8 seconds before this message: State could not be retrieved?
What happens, any config to remove this time gap?

2004-06-23 Thread lepe
Any simple way to do that in code? Couldn't find an MBean which exposes that
information although that it is in the configuration xml for tomcat service.

2004-06-08 Thread lepe
Sorry but aren't you way out no??? Expecting to have a local home on a clien app? Do
read the spec regarding Local and Remote interfaces first and then see what's wrong!

You have to use remote interfaces when using remote clients, locals are only for the
JBoss JVM!

Hm... looks to me that you should have a closer look on the last lookup - shouldn't
compEnv be used instead ;)

2004-06-02 Thread lepe
I don't know but looking at your first stacktrace this part looked like you didnt have
the EARDeployer.

Packages waiting for a deployer:
  | [EMAIL PROTECTED] {
url=file:/C:/jboss-3.2.3/server/minimal/deploy/siyayaProject.ear/ }
  | deployer: null
  | status: null
  | state: INIT_WAITING_DEPLOYER
  | watch: file:/C:/jboss-3.2.3/server/minimal/deploy/siyayaProject.ear/

Look for EARDeployer in default/jboss-service.xml

The minimal config has no specific deployers as default, like the EarDeployer that you
need. You have to add those you need. Compare conf/jboss-service.xml from minimal and
default config.

Do you have more than one jndi.properties on the client? Does not seem to be the one
you change that is used... Is it in the clients classpath?

It do try to connect to 127.0.0.1 and that will only work when running client and
server on same machine (of course).
