[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Portlet development, just getting startet!

2006-03-02 Thread sparrez
Hey, I'm just getting startet at developing portlets, but I was wondering, is
there some way to automate the creation of all the different folders and xml
files so I can be sure they follow specifications, the content I think I can
handle :o).

Been searching for plugins for eclipse, but haven't been able to find anything
truely useful.

Also any links to tutorials and such you just might know of will be apriciated
:)

I managed to get JBoss up and running by removing the DOCTYPE decleration from
the web.xml files in the artifacts deployed on startup.

But when trying to get JBoss Portal up and running i ran in to a bunch of new
problems, but thats beeing handled in another forum, hopefully.

[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Portal deployment error

2006-02-04 Thread sparrez
Hello

I'm fairly new to the JBoss AS and Portal products so please bare withe me :)

Anyway, just got JBoss AS up and running after a series of problem, but now
when I try to get Portal up I get a hole series og Java errors

Here a link to the entrie stack trace
http://sparrez.dk/files/jbossportal-error.txt

It seems that there is a lot of NoClassDefFoundError's but I can't really seem
to find out what's causing them.

The JBoss AS seems to work just fine, but the portal won't deploy.

Hope some of you can point me in the right direction :o)

Running
JBoss 4.0.3SP1
Portal 2.2.1RC2
MySQL 5.0.15
mysql-connector-java-3.1.12
JDK 5.0_05

on Windows XP

I have tried 3 ways of doing it, using the installer, unpacking zip file and
using the bundle, it seems to give all those Class Not found errors either way

To get AS to even start I had to remove the DOCTYPE decleration in the web.xml
files, it gave me some parse errors, theres a topic in the JBoss Beginner
forums.

[JBoss-user] [Beginners Corner] - JBoss startup errors

2006-02-02 Thread sparrez
Hello

First I need to say this is the first time I'm trying to get the JBoss
Application Server up and running so bare with me :)

So, I try starting JBoss but then everything goes horribly wrong, at least I
guess it does because it looks that way. I get over 3000 lines of Java errors.

here's a link for the intire error dump http://sparrez.dk/files/jboss-error.txt
(257 kb)

Honestly I don't really have any idea what to do, I probably did something
wrong along the way, but I haven't been able to figure it out, though it seems
a lot of the errors is about the web.xml file in
.../deploy/http-invoker.sar/invoker.war/ although I don't really know.

Hope some of you can shed a bit of light on the problem, that would be greatly
appreciated ;o)

Hmmm

Just did a fresh install using the jboss-4.0.3SP1-installer.jar file, this
didn't help

The one i used before was just an extracted zip. Can it be something else

Link to error dump http://sparrez.dk/files/jboss-error2.txt only ~1500 lines
this time :) but that's probably due to the smaller install size
