[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Filter in Portal Application

2005-12-31 Thread windyguy27
Hi All,

How can I use filter in Portal application for giving access to valid users
having session active. In Jboss is handling the same without using the filter
concept.

I'm not able to find out the solution for this problem. Any help will be
appreciated.

Thanks in advance

[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Navigating from one page (Login) to another page (Home)

2005-12-23 Thread windyguy27
Hi All,

When the user access my applications he should get the login page in one
portlet window. Once he clicks the submit we need to check his credentials
present in the database upon validating, he should see the home page which
contains different portlets.

We are migrating our application to the portal server. So we don't want to
change the existing functionality.

How do I redirect him from Login Page to Home page in JBoss Portal

Here are my application details

Portal Server : JBoss - 2.2
Application Server : JBoss - 4.0.3 SP1

Please give your suggestions on how to solve this problem.

Thanks

[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: Displaying Portlet of one application in another applica

2005-12-17 Thread windyguy27
Hi mholzer,

I thank you very much for posting solution for my query. Your suggestion really
worked for me. Below is the XML fragment which I have used in my application. I
haven't placed any / before the context name in component-ref tag.

deployment
  | if-existskeep/if-exists
  | instance
  | instance-nameMyPortletInstance/instance-name
  | component-refWarContextHere.MyPortlet/component-ref
  | deployment

Once again Thanks
