Hi all,
I'm trying to set up JBoss on a Debian Sarge linux distro.
I'm using JDK 1.4.2.
When I try to run jboss with the ./run.sh startup script, I get in my log file a
'Coyote can't register jmx for protocol' error, and if I try to connect to
http://localhost:8080/jmx-console, I get an internal error :

org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

An error occurred at line: -1 in the jsp file: null

Generated servlet error:
    [javac] Compiling 1 source file

        at
org.apache.jasper.compiler.DefaultErrorHandler.javacError(DefaultErrorHandler.java:130)
        at
org.apache.jasper.compiler.ErrorDispatcher.javacError(ErrorDispatcher.java:293)
        at org.apache.jasper.compiler.Compiler.generateClass(Compiler.java:353)
        at org.apache.jasper.compiler.Compiler.compile(Compiler.java:370)
...

(nothing actually runs on port 8080)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I spent hours trying to install JBoss...
Thanks. Jeff.
