[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - portal urls again

2006-04-07 Thread lehd
Hi!
This is my third atempt to get some clarification on portal urls.
I hope somebody from jbp team will give me some comments on the topic.
Today I took 3 jbp versions: 202rc1, 220, 221rc3. I deployed each of these
versions to test url functionality. What I mean is the behaviour of the portal
while browsing. In 202rc1 and 221rc3 there was no external redirect to render
pages after action. It was only in 220. Was it a feature or a bug? As I started
my project on 220 version I faced many problems and questions after updating to
221rc3.
I need this information, because if it can be changed from version to version I
will have to update most of my code every time it changes.
Please, give any hint on this, or direct me to info on this topic if it exists
anywhere.

[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Portal URLs

2006-03-24 Thread lehd
Hi.
I need the following jbp 2.2 behaviour:
passing content url to jbp, for example http://host/portal/content/path-to
we will see http://host/portal/content/path-to in browser's address string.
But currently CMSObject mapper gets deal with such url and prepares render url
and direct it to CMS portlet using external redirect, so after everything we
still have http://host/portal url, but not http://host/portal/content/path-to.
But I need this behaviour. Jbp 2.0 does have such url behaviour.
Can anybody comment this issue? Any hints? Why such flow was implemented

Thanks

[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Portal URLs

2005-12-28 Thread vmarco
I am new to JBoss Portal, but am very fluent with Weblogic Portal and JSR-168.
I am using JBoss Portal 2.2 and JBoss 4.0.3 (the jboss portal 2.2 bundle),
along with MySQL 5.

I deploy demoportal.ear (which I created through descriptors), which contains
the HelloWorldPortlet, along with 5 pages (all empty except the Home page).

When I use the URL: http://localhost:8080/portal I do get the default portal,
with tabs, windows, etc.

Following the pattern in the examples and the default I try to access
http://localhost:8080/portal/portal/demoportal however, I do not see any tabs
instead I see the default portal default page.

If I use http://localhost:8080/portal/portal/demoportal/Home it does access the
page, but no tabs show up.

Are my URLs off for accessing a deployed portal? I see no errors in the server
console, I just cannot access my portal. Help.

[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Portal urls and CMS portlet cache?

2005-06-29 Thread yxyang
Hi

I feel a bit confusion for the Portal urls. How does the portal process the
URLs? I read
http://docs.jboss.com/jbportal/v2.0Final/reference-guide/en/html/urls.html. But
i am confused because of CMS portlet always cached the index.html even though i
switch the cache expiration to zero.

For my own portal pages, CMS portlet is put in the center for each page. But
the URLs are different. Example:

http://localhost/default/index.html??ctrl:id=page.default.default
http://localhost/default/test/test.html?ctrl:id=page.default.testpage

Both default page and testpage has a CMS portlet in the center.

I expected that when i browse the second url, test.html will be displayed in
the CMS portlet. But the result is not.

Any help?

thanks
