When you request prova.txt, are you seeing any errors in the log?

With 2.2.1 SP1, I believe the txt file should show in the portlet window.

Reading last boot log, I've discovered some errors:

Last 3 errors seems to be the same. Is this the possible cause for my files
download problem?

I'm using JBoss Portal 2.2.1 SP1 bundled on windows xp sp2, NTFS file system
and AMD Athlon processor.

Downloading problem not yet resolved.
I try to download jboss_logo.gif putting in the browser
http://localhost:8086/portal/content/default/images/jboss_logo.gif as specified
in the portal reference guide, it works. I see this gif by CMSAdminportlet in:
+\
  | +default
  | +images
  | +jboss_images.gif

Now I have other files, uploaded by CMS, for example prova.txt in the root
directory:
+\
  | +prova.txt
I've tried the same, putting in the address bar of the browser
http://localhost:8086/portal/content/prova.txt, but without success.
Where's my fault?

Hi Roy, I can't download file in root directory (or other else), with your
suggestion.
for example I've the file appunti.txt in the root directory (admin user).
I put http://localhost:8086/portal/content/appunti.txt in the browser, but
download doesn't start(i've changed server port from 8080 to 8086 in server.xml
file).

I've JBoss 2.2.1 with AS

No. I have to configure the little eyeball icon to show the binary files.
Stupid me, as I forgot.

Downloading the file is achieved by navigating to it in the browser. If the
file is under /default/foo/bar.doc

Go to http://localhost:8080/portal/content/default/foo/bar.doc

I've got the same question. How do you download the file after uploading it?

Is there a known bug with this? Should I download the previous version?
