[JBoss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Re: Jboss Portal 2.2.1 SP1 clustering errors

2006-06-29 Thread koti123456

I can notice the following service configurations..

jboss-portal.sar\portal-core.war\jboss-portlet.xml

  service-nameCMS/service-name
  service-classorg.jboss.portal.cms.CMS/service-class
  service-ref:service=CMS/service-ref

jboss-portal.sar\portal-samples.war\web-inf\jboss-portlet.xml

  service-nameCMS/service-name
  service-classorg.jboss.portal.cms.CMS/service-class
  service-ref:service=CMS/service-ref

As per your suggetion, I would like to stop cms service its CMS DB
operations. If I comment/takeout the above service entries.. Is it stops cms
service completely??

or

Do I have delete cms-portal.sar, cms-portal.war its corresponding entries for
cms windows, pages etc ?? But doing this will be brave experiment !!

Please advice me what to do.. We would like to use in production We dont need
cms service.

Your kind help is appreciated

Thanks a lot

If you are planning to use it in production and you need support I would
suggest getting a subscription that has a specific SLA with JBoss instead of
relying on the forums, which don't have any SLA. Please contact [EMAIL

As mentioned in the docs, CMS is not reliably clustered in 2.2.1. We recommend
that you de-activate the CMS service if you intend to use Portal in a clustered
environment.

The issue should be fixed in cvs for 2.4.

However, you should try the install you have, in non-clustered mode. It may not
be a clustering issue at all, and could simply be Oracle9 not liking the CMS
hibernate stuff.
