A couple of reasons for you: - Do you require the features of J2EE 1.4 or are you happy staying with J2EE 1.3. Are you happy running on a server developed against the J2EE 1.3 specification without being certified or would you prefer to use a server that is certified. If you're using JBoss 3.0.x series, you should at least move to JBoss 3.2 series. There have been over 2 years of performance and bug fixes since the 3.0 series. 4.0 is fully J2EE compliant which is where it differs from the 3.2 series. 3.2.x series has been mostly kept in synch feature wise with JBoss 4.0 except the J2EE 1.4 compliance stuff. 3.2.x is marked as maitenance only now. Only 4.0 will contain new features. Thanks Bill. Yes, we are at 3.2.1 running on 1.4 and no problems so hard to justify to the bosses. since they could care less about J2EE compliance. Sounds like I will have to wait for new features to come along in JBoss 4.0 that I need. Hmmm... is JBossWS available in 3.2 series?
