All,

is the org.jboss.mq.server.MessageCache also used if we have a
Point-To-Point connection without durable subscriber? Or is it only used
with durable subscriber?

It is used for all messages. Typically if you have persistent
messages and permenant queues/subscritions the cache isn't really used
if you use jdbc2 persistence.
