RE: [JBoss-user] behaviour of a cached initialContext
> And about reusing homes (will JAAS principal be maintained?) The JAAS principal is not associated with the homes, you can safely cache them. The principal is associated with the current thread when the request is received. This thread local principal is then used by the proxy classes when the home (or bean) is accessed. Re: [JBoss-user] behaviour of a cached initialContext
we have a cache manager that does that for reusable data (using refletion), we haven't solved the notification of change yet, since it will have a thousand of web clients (jboss light + tomcat) as the bank offices and a slow (delayed) satelite line. Re: [JBoss-user] behaviour of a cached initialContext
my reading of Scott's answer is that yes, it is ok to cache the Context instance. Thats certainly the way I've always used it - but more importantly from a performance pov - you probably want to cache the result of your lookups whereever possible (obviously some things wont make sense to cache). hth dim - Original Message - From: "Emerson Cargnin - SICREDI Serviços" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, August 27, 2002 9:36 AM Subject: Re: [JBoss-user] behaviour of a cached initialContext no answers Emerson Cargnin - SICREDI Serviços wrote: > please, could anyone answer me??
