newbie: projects and speedbar (2 questions)

2001-06-08 Thread Blue, Neil

Hello,

I have two questions:

1) When I have a *.java file open, is there a way to stop the speedbar from
jumping back to the current file in the buffer, after a couple of seconds
wait. Once I have browsed to a new directory location?

2) Is there a way to load a project with a set of file buffers in one go
after I have started emacs?

Thanks
Neil

newbie question agin

2001-06-07 Thread Blue, Neil

I am trying to follow the JDE user guide, I have found the section that says
to turn on code completion, alter the flag in JDE-Project-Options-General
and set for current session :
Jde Enable Abbrev Mode: [Hide] [Toggle] on (non-nil)
[State]: you have set this option, but not saved it for future sessions.
Enable expansion of abbreviations in jde-mode. [More]
however when I then try code completion with extspace, nothing happens.

Please could anyone explain what I have done wrong.
Cheers
Neil

newbie: getting started

2001-06-06 Thread Blue, Neil

Hello,

I have installed emacs 20.7.1 on winnt 4 and I am trying to get the JDE up
and running.

I have followed the JDE install guide, however when I find a java file a new
java menu options appears, but no JDE, and the java menu option only has the
standard C-u, C-p, C-n, options in it.

I am also no on the mailing list as I followed this link from the JDE Home
page, so please could you reply to my email address.

Thank you
