[JDEV] register namespace mandatory ?

2002-04-29 Thread Federico Lucifredi

Hello Jdev,
I am writing a service agent for the Jabber server. I am testing it
using winjab 1.1.

I notice that upon winjab loading the jabber browser window, my agent's
namespaces get listed correctly, with the additional inclusion of
jabber:iq:register - is it mandatory to handle this namespace for a
component? registration *might* not be necessary for this component in its
early versions.

mmmh.

I don't believe handling the register nemespace is mandatory.
Can somebody back me up on this?

Handling _any_ namespace isn't mandatory, unless it's necessary.

Handling a namespace _correctly_ is 'mandatory'.

Right, and the only reason it should show up is if it is listed in the
browse information.

Thank you all . So I suspected.

I am assuming it is a bug in winjab (or in my component), then.

thanks for the input
