Maybe a Chrome issue, but I haven't seen an analogue issue on any other site.

So still some problem on Jenkins' side - even if it's not a new one.

Re: Difference between http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/public/ & http://maven.jenkins-ci.org

2013-05-21 Thread Ulli Hafner
I think that http://maven.jenkins-ci.org is just redirecting to
http://repo.jenkins-ci.org in order to be backward compatible.
The former URL was valid when we used Nexus as repository manager. Quite some
time ago we switched to Artifactory so now the latter URL should be used only.

Note that the prefix public probably is a group that merges several
repositories into one URL.

I'm using the following snippet to access the artifacts:

  *
  public
  http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/public
  public

Under what conditions can it be null?

pull 784 [1] should hopefully
fix it

Two comments/questions:

- this fixes the symptom, but why should be build id end up being null?

- when is this fix likely to land in an LTS release?

cheers,

Chris

Difference between http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/public/ & http://maven.jenkins-ci.org

2013-05-21 Thread Daniel PETISME
Hi guys, I have a maven/repository question

My company nexus is configured to access to http://maven.jenkins-ci.org.
I'm trying to build a plugin an it's failing due to
org.netbeans.modules:org-netbeans-insane:jar:RELEASE72
Indeed the jar isn't there:
http://maven.jenkins-ci.org/content/repositories/releases/org/netbeans/modules/org-netbeans-insane/RELEASE72/
But it's there:
http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/public/org/netbeans/modules/org-netbeans-insane/RELEASE72/
*Be careful to the public because it is not in releases*. too

What are the differences between the 2 repositories ? Which one should add
configure in my Nexus?

In advance thank you

In the case when you don't have a descriptor the framework doesn't help you as
it usually can.
So a little bit of knowledge on how Stapler works can save you in many corner
cases :)

Since you are serving the index page of an Action I believe the simplest way
would be to put the doCheckSomething method as a non static method of your
Action and provide the relative path to it for the input

Subject: Where to put a doXYZMethod?

I have a class that implements Action and it provides an index.jelly so that
you get a view when you click on the link. I am trying to do some validation on
a field using the checkUrl property of the textbox tag. I've tried
/plugin/myplugin/templateFileCheck and
/plugin/myplugin/MyAction/templateFileCheck, but I get a 404 from Jetty on both
of those. I have tried putting the method in MyAction as well as the descriptor
for my publisher. Where do I need to put the method so it is called correctly?

Thanks,

NPE running matrix job in 1.480.3

2013-05-21 Thread Chris Withers

Hi All,

Anyone else seen this, ever?

FATAL: null
java.lang.NullPointerException
at
hudson.matrix.DefaultMatrixExecutionStrategyImpl.waitForCompletion(DefaultMatrixExecutionStrategyImpl.java:241)
at
hudson.matrix.DefaultMatrixExecutionStrategyImpl.run(DefaultMatrixExecutionStrategyImpl.java:163)
at
hudson.matrix.MatrixBuild$MatrixBuildExecution.doRun(MatrixBuild.java:340)
at
hudson.model.AbstractBuild$AbstractBuildExecution.run(AbstractBuild.java:500)

at hudson.model.ResourceController.execute(ResourceController.java:88)
at hudson.model.Executor.run(Executor.java:237)
at hudson.model.OneOffExecutor.run(OneOffExecutor.java:66)

This occurred when the parent of a matrix job tried to execute. This job
runs often and it's the first time we've seen it.

I've reported here:

https://issues.jenkins-ci.org/browse/JENKINS-18024

Any ideas what happened and how I can fix?
