Yes, it is an interesting read. I think multibranch Workflow plus
Docker integration starts to close the gap on these two bullet points.
(See my recent webinar for background.) It is not the same as having a
system designed according to these principles from the start.

get all downstream jobs

2015-10-23 Thread justine . maxellon
I'm working with Build Flow Plugin. What I'm trying to achieve is getting
list of all jobs and their numbers triggered by BuildFlow job. I can not
find any method in BuildFlow class that returns such a list. Since now i
can get object of Flow run class:
def bfJob =
Jenkins.getInstance().getItemByFullName("BuildFlowJob").getBuildByNumber(10)
But what to do next? When I call:
bfJob.getJobsGraph()
I see all downstream jobs and edges and etc., I'm shure that there is a
better method than than converting it to string and parsing.
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Is ArtifactManager nonstandard?

2015-10-23 Thread oliver gondža
This is standard extenstion point as any other. Note that there are
plugins (Copy artifact) that still expects artifacts are separate files
stored on master file system, so it will not be as portable as standard
artifact manager. But if you implement your own solution, it will not
integrate with anything out of the box anyway.

I date to speculate that said plugins are not using the ArtifactManager as
they likely predates the extension point introduced in Jenkins 1.532.

expose NodeProperty extension data to computer REST API?

2015-10-23 Thread jb
I've got an extension to NodeProperty that contains data I'd like to expose
on the node's REST API page, and I'm not sure how to go about doing it. It
appears properly for the config.xml endpoint output, though.

My class:

  58 @ExportedBean

>  ...
>  765 @Exported(visibility=999)
>  766 private HashMap policies = new HashMap Object>();

However neither policies nor info show up in the JSON API output
at http://myjenkins/computer/jb_test1/api/json.
Am I completely misunderstanding
this
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Exposing+data+to+the+remote+API

Re: Jenkins 2.0 proposal

2015-10-23 Thread Richard Bywater
My impression was that they were talking about system configuration which
presumably isn't touched in the areas you mention?

Richard.

Re: Review request for PR on Naginator plugin

2015-10-23 Thread ikedam
(I resent this mail as failed to CC to jenkinsci-dev, not joined with
this address, sorry)
Hello.

I sent a pull request to naginator plugin a month ago:
https://github.com/jenkinsci/naginator-plugin/pull/21

I want this request merged and want a new release of naginator plugin
as I plan to introduce a new feature to build-timeout plugin depending
on naginator plugin.

Would you review that request?

Regards,
ikedam
