Title: Message Title Matthias Viehweger created an issue Jenkins / JENKINS-33922 Please add support for jenkins pipeline plugin to ircbot Issue Type: Improvement Assignee: kutzi Components: instant-messaging-plugin, ircbot-plugin, workflow-plugin Created: 2016/Mar/31 9:56 AM Priority: Major Reporter: Matthias Viehweger I an unsure where the extension needs to be made. I hope it is enough to add support between pipeline and instant-messaging. Since we are heavily IRC-driven, support for IRC notifications of build results is very important in adopting the pipeline for all jobs. Add Comment

[JIRA] [tap-plugin] (JENKINS-29650) recording the TAP-results waits for checkpoint
Title: Message Title Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-29650 Re: recording the TAP-results waits for checkpoint I managed to compile the plugin from source and installed the resulting hpi into our jenkins-instance. I will let this run for a week and tell you if I can still observe problems. After a few tests with low concurrency, I did find no ovbious error. [JIRA] [tap-plugin] (JENKINS-29650) recording the TAP-results waits for checkpoint
Title: Message Title Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-29650 Re: recording the TAP-results waits for checkpoint From what I understand, this should fix the problem. Can you tell me how I can test this? So far, I only installed plugins through the jenkins-plugin UI. Do I need to compile the plugin into a hpi or jar or something like that? if so, how is that done? Can I just edit the files on disk and restart jenkins? where would the files be? Sorry for the noobish questions and thanks for your work! Title: Message Title Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-29650 Re: recording the TAP-results waits for checkpoint I'm not a Java-developer, but if you show me how this is done in another plugin, then I can do the grunt-work of actually writing it, so you just have a pull-request on github to review. Title: Message Title Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-29649 Re: don't overwrite existing junit-results Hmm, I don't have a testbed-server, but a live one. I would give a snapshot-version a try (if you give me instructions on how to install that). Since we use your plugin in the majority of our jobs, I can give you feedback rather quickly. Title: Message Title Matthias Viehweger created an issue Jenkins / JENKINS-29650 recording the TAP-results waits for checkpoint Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Bruno P. Kinoshita Components: tap-plugin Created: 27/Jul/15 8:35 AM Environment: Linux Jenkins 1.621 TAP Plugin 1.23 Priority: Minor Reporter: Matthias Viehweger Most jobs we have run arout 1:30 hrs. We have some pre-checks that should informs us quicker if something fundamental or important is not correct. There pre-checks are done within 1 or 2 minutes. However, the TAP-Plugin waits for a checkpoint for a previous build, effectively stretching the otherwise 1-2 minute feedback cycle to 1:30 hours. I would be enough to disable this behaviour with a per-job option. Add Comment

Kinoshita Components: tap-plugin Created: 27/Jul/15 8:31 AM Environment: Linux Jenkins 1.621 TAP Plugin 1.23 Priority: Minor Reporter: Matthias Viehweger We have in our projects some tests that emit result as JUnit-XML and some that write a TAP-file. Since installing the TAP-plugin, the testresults-graph only shows the TAP-results. This is bad, as we have ~70 TAP-tests, but 5000 JUnit-XML tests. Add Comment
[JIRA] [ghprb] (JENKINS-24954) "Test PASSed" comments added even if "Published Jenkins URL"
Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-24954 "Test PASSed" comments added even if "Published Jenkins URL" Let's try to solve this, I don't like to pin versions of plugins. Digging a little into the code (I'm no Java-dev), I think that no comments will be made if the comments set in the configs are set to "". It seesm that the setting "Use comments to report results when updating commit status fails" or "Published Jenkins URL" is not honored. I have set useComments to false and the publishURL is empty. I confirmed in the WebUI and in the config-xml. would changing https://github.com/jenkinsci/ghprb-plugin/blob/7cf87d0fa7a14ee52c4b63dc341c43a75c4d1825/src/main/java/org/jenkinsci/plugins/ghprb/GhprbBuilds.java#L192-L195 be the right thing to do? I could try to create a pullrequest on github, but I don't know the correct way of asking for those config settings. What do you think? This message is automatically generated by JIRA. [JIRA] [core] (JENKINS-24219) Jenkins keeps forgetting my password
Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-24219 Jenkins keeps forgetting my password Okay, I tried this without the password-auto fill (I used the chrome-builtin feature, btw). Sadly, after todays update to 1.575, I got logged out and my previous password did not work anymore. After resetting the password, I could log in with that temporary password, change it, log out, and finally log in with my usual password again. Funnily, this only seems to affect me. I am now "the one that jenkins does not like". Which information could help to narrow this error down? This message is automatically generated by JIRA. [JIRA] (JENKINS-10821) Points are not awarded for new tests in Ruby
Matthias Viehweger commented on JENKINS-10821 Points are not awarded for new tests in Ruby I use the gem "ci_reporter" to give Jenkins the necessary information. cucumber comes with support for the necessary xml-output built-in. Test::Unit and RSpec need the "ci_reporter" gem installed. Both points in the CI-Game and a trending graph work fine on out Jenkins with that. This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
