The directions imply it just works. I have a new elasticsearch instance and I try to connect and nothing happens. I have downloaded the source and will start to look at it. Does the index need to exist? Many river plugins in elasticsearch just create the index does this plugin do that? I am leaving the username and the password blank will this cause the failure. I am using an elasticsearch server without a password. Perhaps that is the issue.
