Still it clutters the list of test results. I use the plugin basically just to set the commit status on GitHub. However I'm not the only user of that Jenkins instance and when I set my GitHub account credentials in the global Jenkins configuration, these are used by all jobs of the Jenkins instance. So the commit status is set on behalf of my GitHub account even for repositories completely unrelated to me. Add Comment

I think that one of the options for not updating the Github status could be entering {code} --none-- {code} to the status context field within the "Update commit status during build" trigger option.

The Jenkins instance we use is on an internal server and its URL is not supposed to be revealed/visible on GitHub. Instead, we'd like to provide custom URL, for example to a public server where the job result would be stored. Storing the result somewhere else is of course not part of this ticket - that may be handled by a post-build action. It is currently possible to change 'Commit context' and 'Status result' within the 'Set status for GitHub commit [universal]' post-build action. This ticket asks for another field like 'Commit status URL'.
