I've been adding support to auto-detect .app vs .ipa files, so perhaps I can submit a patch soon.

Issue Type:

Improvement

Affects Versions:

current

Assignee:

Components:

ios-device-connector

Created:

Description:

Hi Kohuske,

iOS Plugin is great - thankyou. Following your request for feedback, I'd make the following suggestions:

Allowing the user to select from a drop-down list of connected devices (or 'recently connected' devices?) by name rather than having to specify a UDID specifically (can get tedious copying and pasting this from the 'Connected Devices' view)

OR

Allowing the user to set a default such as 'Connected iPhone' + iOS Version or 'Connected iPad' + iOS Version for installation purposes.

Support for .app files in addition to .ipa would be handy

Would also be a good idea to allow deletion of the .ipa / .app prior to installation via Jenkins (checkbox?).

Cheers,

Gemma
