I'm trying to figure out what actually triggered this because it did not fail any of our unit tests that should have explicitly covered this functionality. Our worker nodes have Win2012 and Win2018 environment. A quick solution was to downgrade the version of this plugin to 1.18. Then everything works again in the DSL Jenkinsfiles with bat(ch) step.
