In your job, under the build trigger section: gerrit event -> trigger on -> add -> comment added contains regular _expression_ -> value -> .TriggerCiBuild. In your job, under the build trigger section: gerrit event -> trigger on -> add -> comment added contains regular _expression_ -> value -> {noformat} .*TriggerCiBuild.* {noformat} Note: I changed the commit message triggering the build to make it easier to write the regex. You still need to configure the gerrit project, see https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Gerrit+Trigger#GerritTrigger-TriggerConfiguration
