As an example, a validation error seems to be reported when the size of the blob (large file) is reported as an invalid or incorrect value. I've never seen that message in my use of git lfs. You might confirm that the repository clones that branch as expected from a command line to a desktop computer. If it does not clone from a command line to a desktop computer, then you may need to work with the git administrators to identify the problem on the git server. [~c_shuded] Recent git versions for Windows include LFS support as an optional part of the git installation. While running the git for Windows installer (2.16.2 or older, please avoid git for Windows 2.17.0 for now), did you select the "Git LFS" checkbox?If you did that, then from a ` {{ git bash ` }} shell on your Windows computer, run the command ` {{ git lfs install ` }} . It should report "Git LFS initialized".If your Windows git installation does not include Git LFS, the simplest solution is to install a version which includes it (like Windows git 2.16.2).

Your Git client fails to retrieve a file from LFS, but it is rather a client or configuration issue.
